A quick Google search led us to Big Oak. This is a nice place for an overnighter that is super close to town. There are a lot of seasonal campers here, but it isn't run down or seedy. They have some huge live oaks here too. Some sites are shady and some are full sun. We are in a pull thru in the center of the CG. At $36 for a full hookup it is a little more than I like to pay, but it isn't a deal breaker. I wil

Anyone know where the fireworks going off @ 930 near the Fort are from? I'm guessing IOA, but didn't know for sure. They sound pretty good and last for a good 20 minutes.

Removable bottles can be filled at the Meadows. Not sure about delivery.

I just got back from the Meadows....the license plate bracket looks nice but is uber cheaply made. It's very thin flexible plastic with a back print. The magnet and license plate are cool tho

So we have decided against boarding our little pup locally, and we are going to bring him with us. I already have a premium site reserved. I was going to ask for either for 400 or 500 loop. Do you guys think that we will be put in the official pet loops or will the Fort be so crowded that pets will be everywhere?

I don't follow....how's that more expensive than paying for 2 MH's and expenses? MPG between a diesel dually and a MH will be very close.....and you just have one tank to fill. :D

No way in hell! Seems like I remember a story last year about a guy meeting an underage girl at the Fort in a CS for some relations. I would hate to have to kill a person while on vacation.
