  1. Stef, I have to say that I love the all-American, Southern redneckery, down to earth, lifted chevy driving, camo clad, snake catching, take no sh!t, good time having, water bottle boob holding, solo cup aura that your family has. The lack of people like you guys are what's wrong with this country. Amen?
  2. I caught the different mirrors in your first post. You snuck in a pic of the camp from later in the week......sneaky. BTW, every man needs a good set of tow mirrors. It's a prerequisite to a man card.
  3. For our upcoming trip to the Fort during Thanksgiving my dad and I are taking the kids down in the camper, and my wife, infant son, and my dad's GF will fly in midweek. Will it be a problem that they will need transportation after the first day of the reservation starts? Also any issues with having an infant? They could check a car seat if needed.
  4. Possibly the best example of a butter face that I've seen on the internetz.
  5. A couple of random thoughts..... I was thinking the other day "I wish TCD would post a TR or something....I am jonesing". Perfect timing. As for mouth breathing around the loaded shorts.....I would rather have the microscopic particles of poop in my nose than in my mouth....but to each their own. I loved the original SW movies and toys as a kid. I never entered geekdom, though. And we have never been during the SW times either. It looks pretty cool. I would have been tempted to buy that Chewbaca costume. That would rock while snowboarding....or maybe for just cutting the grass and freaking out
  6. Thanks for the comments. It really is a nice place to spend the weekend, and it is less than 20 minutes from our house too!
  7. The finger scan is supposed to stop people from sharing multiday passes and such. But I know for a fact it doesn't work too well, since my kids went 5 days and we only went 3 days to the parks....grandparents picked up the slack.
  8. Was it the Noccalula Nik Nak? http://collections.a...MB=1&DMROTATE=0
  9. We spent a long weekend at our local park and CG. I had to work the previous weekend, so I had a 4 day weekend. On Wednesday I got up at 0245 and headed to work.....I wanted to leave after lunch to get up to the CG early. We rolled into the CG about 4pm and scored our favorite pull thru....w00t. I quickly hooked up everything, and the girls started what would be a nearly non-stop bike riding session. Our site My wife had to work Thurs and Fri, and the oldest DD had to go to school. So me and DD5 spend some time playing and hiking each day. We did a nice gorge hike on Thursday. We went downriv
  10. I've installed my fair share of piezometers in my former career.....hope to never see another one go in. Nice pics.....pretty cg.
  11. It's pretty common for class A's to pull a stacker trailer with a run-a-bout car and some motorcycles in it. Here's a link to some pics. http://www.google.co...d%3Divns&itbs=1 As tall as that trailer was it had to have been built for a stacker.
  12. A few thoughts.... Jayco builds a good (for the most part) RV....two year warranty may come in handy. KZ also has a two year. The new "Evergreen" rv's are interesting....no wood to rot, etc. Don't over estimate your tow vehicle's capabilities.....TT's can wag the dog pretty good. Use the trailer GVWR for actual weight. Nobody tows a "dry" camper. Look into a "dual cam" hitch set up. Store it under a shed....or a fabric cover at a minimum. A lot of headaches can be avoided this way...not to mention longer service life of the RV. Try to find exactly what you want, and also think of what you mi
  13. That looks like a Spacecraft trailer. They are super nice and well built. It looks every bit of 13'6"...maybe more. If I had to guess I would say the back is a garage with a stacker lift hauling a car and 2 cruisers. I would have aired the tires down a bit or dumped the air from the airbags....and pulled on out.
  14. I have the "please stand clear......" as a ringtone right now.
  15. No pics. I figured their website would have some. There are a few on the blog section of the website.
  16. I was in Navarre this weekend and decided to check out the new CG there. We didn't stay there, but I did walk around to take a good look at everything. Here's the site map. http://strosarvresor....com/site-plan/ The good stuff... First off, this place is brand new...only open 3 weeks. The attendants at the office were very nice. As you could expect everything is super clean and nice at the moment. Landscaping and hardscapes are first class. They have very cool mini lighthouses that hold all of the hookups. Nice pool area and clubhouse. I didn't check out the bathrooms, but I would imagine they
  17. I just have to say that 14 hrs to go 1016 miles is seriously hauling arse. We are lucky to do 550 miles in 10 hrs with all of the pit stops, eating, fueling, puking, etc, etc.....
  18. I did the walmart thing last year on the way down. On the way back we stayed at Big Oak RV park in Tally. It was nice, but a little expensive for an overnighter.
