The Nexus is awesome. We have 2 so far. I will probably buy the kids 2 for Christmas. They are super fast with a quad core processor. It has a HD screen that is nearly the same pixel density as the iPad 3. It is running android jelly bean os which is extremely polished and smooth. It is much more capable than the fire or nook. It has full access to the android market. Visibility is decent in sun, but it doesn't compare to e ink.....nothing does.

Arghhhhhh! Now my wife can't get off for New Year's because she will have a bunch of reports due at that time for her new position at work. Looks like we will be forced to either go in early Dec 12 or Feb 13. I was really looking forward to spending 10 days there at New Year's

They might as well close the beach for swimming, rip out the swamp trail boardwalk, take down the hammocks, kill all of the goats at the petting zoo, severely limit cart access, take Crockett's nice menu away, do away with the stump trash cans, remove the basketballs from the boxes, shut down the train and tear out the tracks, fire the grocery truck guy, lay off the mounted rangers, and double (or triple) the price of everything over the next ten years!!!! Nobody would camp there then.
