  they still have two Danes.

This may sound funny, coming from a mama whose child has a fear of dogs but... I love great danes (yes, I know that they are known as the "gentle giant", but they are huge so I'm pretty sure that Boo would run for the hills).  I think they are such beautiful animals.  I'm guessing that one may have to get a PT job to feed them... but they sure are pretty :)

Gwen great pics from EPCOT! I love the picture of the ball and the American Flag. The pics from inside Mexico are fantastic as well.

I never take the time to notice the small details, are they little Viking ships sinking on the roof in that one pic (it is too hard to quote jut one pic on

And TCD you ability to keep track of your photos and find them (I'm assuming easily) is amazing. I could use your skills to get years worth of stuff straight!

Yes, one does need a job to afford Danes!  They are very expensive to buy.  Vet bills are outrageous.  And the cost of feeding two Great Danes per month is about the same as a horse.

Thanks, Beckers.  I don't think those are Viking ships sinking.

I've struggled with getting good photos of the Tomb Warriors for years, and I wanted to see what my new lens would do.

I think you nailed the photos of the tomb warriors.  Who knew their faces were so full of expression?

Thank you!  And who knew there were so many faces?  In the pictures I posted, I think I spotted one duplication.

Very nice!!! We often stroll World Showcase, but rarely look in the pavilions in that much depth.

Some of them aren't worth that much depth.  Others are great.

I really enjoy the shop in Germany with all the steins.  I call it Stein Mart.

Good one!

Beautiful photos, that lens does real good or maybe it is the person pushing the button

Thanks!

I use two different lenses.  The Tomb Warriors and many other indoor photos were shot with my f/1.4 lens.  The remainder were shot with my 18-300 zoom.  With the equipment I have, it's not hard to take good photos.  It's really just a matter of getting a good composition.  Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.  And if it's an almost win, I can always use Photoshop to make it better.

Love the detail. I seriously need to take the time to look at things better instead of zooming by. Thank You! I've missed a bunch

That's the beauty of EPCOT.  You can zoom by or go slowly -- either way, you can have a great time.

Friday, October 24 -- An EPCOT Day -- Part 4

We were in Italy sitting in the shade in the great little smoking area near the fountain when suddenly we heard horns and drums and these guys appeared:

_DSC4529_zps880c76a2.jpg

If you'd like to see guys in tights running around throwing flags in the air, then this is the show for you!  I personally didn't get it.

_DSC4531_zps5fd49b4f.jpg

Goodbye, Italy.  Let's move on.  We always enjoy these performers:

_DSC4534_zpsd32209b0.jpg

When they sang the Star Spangled Banner, there wasn't a dry eye in the house!

At this point we were getting hungry, so we stopped at:

David chose the Florida Grass-Fed Beef Slider with Pimento Cheese:

_DSC4559_zpscc56f2be.jpg

He liked it, but it was a tad too spicy for him.

I got the Artisan Cheese Plate:  Cabot Cloth-wrapped Cheddar, Purple Haze Chevre Goat Cheese, and Cave Man Blue Cheese.  It was great.  But honestly I've never had a cheese plate that I didn't like.

It was a beautiful day, in the high 80s, and I saw several people wearing boots.  Go figure.

David didn't want to stop at Japan, so he waited on me while I snapped a few pictures.

David and I talked to our next-door neighbors -- the ones with all the decals on their moho.  They had two huge Great Danes with them.  We used to have a pair of Great Danes.

We got a half hour lecture about how superior his male was because he was the product of years of inbreeding, etc., etc., etc.  Yeah, right.  I know about the problems that inbreeding Danes causes.  But we just politely nodded and got away from them as quickly as we could.  And took Kassie looping.

And that day ended the first half of our trip.

What am I missing here?  Who are Lou's friends?

Those interesting men in their fashion forward leg wear.  ROFL

Loving the photos.  Lots of things I missed because the boys don't like to look around yet.

I like your pictures of the Mine Train.  I haven't seen some of those perspectives before.  Getting excited to ride it!

Thank you!  I have more and different pictures coming up later.

I already said stunning, but I want to say it again. I'd like to print and frame a number of your photos, but I particularly like this one.

Thank you again!  I'm not sure how well they will print because I really "dumbed them down" for photobucket.  I reduced them to 9" x 6" at 96 dpi.  And still used up nearly 40% of that photobucket account!

If there's anything you want a much better resolution on, PM me with your EM address and what you'd like and I'll send it to you.  But my originals average 5 - 10 MB each.

Last year I shot at 20 MB but halfway through the trip I ran out of space on my laptop to store them!

OK- time to share my story about the time I met your 700 loop neighbor at the Fort.

We were at the dog park with our previous dog, Cookie.

Cookie was old, but was a great dog.  She put on a few pounds in her old age, but she wasn't too much overweight.

Here's a photo from her last trip to the Fort in 2008:

FW10308022.jpg

Anyway, we're at the dog park, and the guy is there with his two Great Danes.

Cookie was playing with his dogs, and she came by the bench where we were all sitting to say hello.

The guy says hello to Cookie, and asks me her name.  I tell him.  His response:  "Cookie?  More like Cookie Jar!"

Twin #1 was with me.

We both laughed.

And poor Cookie got called Cookie Jar many times after that.

Our new dog, Rocky, is in very good shape.  But the girls sometimes scold us if we feed him table scraps.  They say something like watch it, or he'll be Rocky Jar.

They also call me Pappi Jar.

Great pics as always Gwen!  Disney really should pay you for most of these... they look like they could be in a brochure :)   Maybe you could frame them and sell them at arts-n-crafts shows :)
