    Good article.
But to me, someone that grew up in SoCal and spent almost as many days at a Disneyland as TCD spends at WDW now. Ok he probably spend more time at WDW in one year than I spent at Disneyland in 10 years. Lol.
It's not a fair comparison. Yes they have a lot in common but they feel so different. It's hard to explain. You just have to visit both places and see for yourselves.

The Federal Gift Tax exclusion for 2014 was $14,000 per person. It is set by the IRS each year. If you are married the exclusion is per spouse so you can give a single party, such as a child, $28K tax free.

    Oh yeah, entered.

I think they are aquiring the right to the Walking Dead and it wont go much further. The whole park will be re-themed with Zombies.

And some people should get a clue!
I agree 100% Carol. Looking for and stumbling upon those little details are a HUGE part of the fun and what makes WDW stand apart from the rest.
It's also the reason I drive Brian crazy taking so many pictures.

We ran in to a security guard who is am amateur comedian at the MK bag check.  The guest in front of us had a Star Wars backpack.

The guard asks the guest if he likes Star Wars.  The guest says yes.  The guard asks the guest:  "What's the temperature inside a Tauntaun?

The guest says he doesn't know.

    The guard says "lukewarm."

I had never heard that joke before.  Nor have I ever heard a security guard tell a joke.  That was a good one.

I'm not sure how quickly/easily I could adapt to just the whole "wrong side of the road" thing.  I have a vision of sitting at an intersection trying to figure out how to make a left hand turn.

I've been thinking about this and think Disney is making a mistake. Yes, I know they could care less about my opinion. Rightly or wrongly I've always looked at Epcot as the adult park. Many of the rides are geared to older kids and adults. The World Showcase has always reminded of a global party the few times I've been there and not really something I would have wanted my kids around when they were little. It is also the place where I go when I want to get away from Disney so to speak. Adding a new non-existant country geared to a Disney movie ruins some of the best features of the park for me and depending upon how over the top it is, would be enough to stop me from visiting in the future (even if they build a Matterhorn).

Why does it surprise you that people don't plan. If you've never been to how would you know to plan for FP or dining rezzies. What other park does that. I don't plan when I go to six flags. Why? I don't have to. Disney has created a system that IMHO makes it easier for them. I don't generally have to wait inline at six flags for more then 20-30 Minutes to ride any ride.
I grew up in Southern California and went to Disneyland dozens of times. They never had FPs. Even today you can't schedule FP+ there. Heck up until recently there wasn't anything called a FP+ And with the exception of holidays and new attractions you generally don't have to wait as long to ride attractions there like you do at disneyworld.
. I feel sorry for people that save up for a once in a lifetime trip and call their TR and never even heard of a FP+. Y'all need to remember that we, the fiends, are the exception. We are lucky to have gone several times to the World and have great people who write TRs that we learn from.
Ok. I'll get off my soapbox. Back to your regularly scheduled program.

You really should look at the gross weight of the trailer (the maximum it can weigh with all your "stuff", cause you will fill it up with stuff!

Then find out the Gross Combined Weight Rating allowable for your tow vehicle.

Then find out what your tow vehicle weighs full of people gas and more "stuff"

then subtract the loaded tow vehicle weight from Gross Combined Weight Rating

If the Gross weight of the trailer is less than what you have left over from a full tow vehicle, then you can tow the trailer.

It sleeps up to 8 people.
That's only $262.50-$362.50 per person per night.
When y'all have your renewal of vows ceremony just get 4 couples, 8 people. I will only need it for 4 nights. So if we have the ceremony off season it will cost $262.50 per person per day or $1050 per person. For that you'll get me, my DD will be available to be the flower girl. And if needed my DW will assist the bride with her preparations.

I'm not sorry you posted it.  I liked reading the different things that stemmed from it.  I am sorry if you thought anyone taking a poke at you.  I didn't read it that way.

Even with all the different opinions and interpretations, I think we as a group are more respectful to each other than some places I've seen.

But I will confess I thought TJ was the TJ from TopChef until I saw this thread.

I don't think you should be sorry for posting it either. It's not like you said "hey INC, I heard this guy makes personalized meals so let's pretend we don't eat what they serve and see what kind of special treatment we get". You went to HDDR and he offered that he can make you foods that work for you.

I am not sure if you're a brand new member, or an old member who created a new account, but that's a great post, and I gave you an up arrow for it.

After my post that you quoted, I thought about what others were saying, and I then posted that I understood what others were saying.  See my post #40 above.  It appears that Chef TJ is doing what Disney expects him to do, and is doing it well enough that he has been recognized as an exemplary castmember.  As I said above, I am glad that guests with special dietary needs are being accommodated in a way that most other businesses would never do.

I am glad that Disney gives its castmembers the leeway to take the initiative and create magical moments for guests.  And I hope that it continues.

Another thing that crossed my mind is that the Chef is actually bringing in untapped revenue to Trail's End.  He personally invited DIT to dine at Trail's End.  I doubt Dave would have bothered to go absent that invitation.

One thing I really like about our discussion board here is that we don't have to always agree with each other.  We wouldn't have anything to discuss if we did.  In this thread, I expressed some of my opinions, and the posts from others, like yours,  pointed out some things that I wasn't looking at.  I truly appreciate that, and I hope that you keep on posting.

This is my first post in a while due to personal happenings but have to chime in.

I don't consider a lot of these people campers by the traditional definition. Unfortunately the camping world has been infiltrated by partiers who aren't there for the overall experience but to be able to brag about how much they put away over the weekend. I even see the same behavior in our state parks but it is generally squashed quickly due to the rangers frequently patrolling the campground particularly around quiet time.
