True, kinda like the $58 a night partial sites at the Fort.  One Wednesday the first week of March.

Actually, it is the boat transportation from the 3000 loop to MK.   Free to use for 3000 loop guests, of course.

You get a seat for a 30 minute excursion plus free ice cream and a bottle of water for only $299. Only $399 for Paddling with the Pyrotechnics which includes a fireworks viewing dessert party.

Sometimes depending where the rocks came from, they have  yellowish dirt/sand on them.  With a heavy rain or hosing they hopefully will look a grayish brown.

UPDATE! I just got a call from someone from Disney management and they assured me it was being handled.  He stated it is not right for someone to "piggyback" off of someone else's event!  I so hope something will be done!
At least she got a reply.

No one is forcing anyone to hand out candy at the Fort on Halloween. It’s not a required part of your stay.  People are undertaking it themselves because they want to.  And if they’d stop, there would still be people coming to see the decorations and the costumes, but not nearly as many. What would happen if the CAMPERS asked to see proof that someone was staying there before they gave out candy.  You have to have your site number written on your Magic Band.  Or had some other requirement.  We have a neighbor who is known for giving out full size candy bars for Halloween. But first, the child must recite a Bible verse. As far as I know, that’s perfectly legal.  Halloween candy is not a right. And the Fort Trick or Treating is not an official WDW activity.  If it were, THEY would be providing the candy.  I think an organized group of people could help shut it down, although it would take a few years for word of mouth to get around about how stingy the campers had become. Unfortunately, one can’t do the same with the pool.
It's like feeding the alligators and then wondering why they keep coming back.

They've been putting the "no parking" sign out for the overflow lot (see "least they can do"), but of course that only stops the people coming by car. Clearly folks have figured out (and publicized) that there are plenty of other ways to get into the Fort.
Personally it's not the extra candy I'm worried about as much as what Dave said about security.
Not even that many.  One at the dock and one at the bus stop scanning anyone getting on an internal bus would do the trick. No reservation (campsite or dinner) no entrance.
If they want to make a reservation at Trails End to get in, fine - there are only so many of those and if they don't actually use that reservation they're going to get charged $10 a head.  So much for "free" candy.

I feel like there was something we had to do.  I think we had to go to the ride photo counter and tell them the photo number and then they scanned our band.  But I think MM was fairly new then, so it's entirely possible the method changed.

Regarding your kids photos showing up, you may not see them on the App as it only shows the primary owners photos (you). But if you go into the website and click the filter button to change to Show All it should be there.

Overall, I like everything they did.

But, one small critique- I don't like the fabric on the couch.  It's doesn't fit the wilderness theme.

Also, it looks like they ditched the coffee table, and there are no end tables for the couch.  Where am I supposed to set my beer down?

I don't like a slogan that begins with "un".  Seems like a negative even when it's not. And it occurs to me that Disney Meth guy had an "unforgettable" experience at Disney, just not the kind they're trying to evoke.

We drive from Stow Ohio to WDW twice a year, and fly two other times.  I have also gone at least once a year since 1974, so there are two Stow Disney Fiends.

We try to leave Stow around 6:00am and we drive to the KOA in Kingsland Georgia, it takes about all day, but it is the last exit in Georgia on 95.  Then we have 3 1/2 hours the next morning to Disney.

Sometimes we leave in the afternoon after School and stay in Wytheville, VA and then drive the rest of the way the next day.  On the way home we drive from Disney to Mayberry Campground in Mt. Airy, NC.

Good luck and maybe we will run into you in Stow or WDW.

    Interesting.

    I don't understand this part I quoted.

During most times of the year, occupancy rates at the Fort are high.  They can't only be sending out site assignments for sites that are not occupied.  So, what happens if I'm at the Fort, packing up for an 11 am departure, and the guy who has the site after me shows up and starts breathing down my neck?  Or, what if I'm coming in, and I want to check in early, and there are empty sites, but not the one I got assigned earlier in the week because that camper is still packing up?

    I don't like it.

At the other resorts, they will text you your room assignment, but not until the day of.  I presume that text is only sent once the room is vacated and cleaned by housekeeping.

State parks in Ohio can be hit or miss. We like some sites at Alum Creek and Shawnee. Deer creek is OK but there is not a lot near the CG. Have not been to East Harbor or Ceasers Creek but heard both are nice. AW Marion could be a nice campground but it doesnt look like it has much TLC since the day it was opened and there is almost no one ever in there (not friendly to rigs much over 20ft). Tar Hollow can take larger rigs but there are no pads for the trailer and rain makes everything soupy there. It seems that some SP CG's don't accommodate larger rigs well and most have few to no full hookup.
One thing you may want to try is the AEP Recreation Lands. You have to have a permit to camp but it is free from their website. Once you have the permit, you can camp at any of the campgrounds there for free. I think there are 5 to 6 of them. Never been there but I heard they have power but no full hookup.

We love Evergreen RV Park in Wilmot, OH.
It's in Southern Stark county. They have nice paved roads, a playground for the kids, an indoor pool and hot tub which is awesome for NEOhio weather.

disneygeek87 reacted to Tri-Circle-D in Retail Magic Bands?
In theory, it can all be done right in the store where you buy the MB.  One of my daughters worked in Wandering Oaken's Trading Post at Hollywood Studios last summer and activated 100's of the Frozen "limited edition" MB's right there at the point of sale.  Once activated, the new retail MB is an exact copy of any other MB connected to your name on the My Disney Experience site, and can be used interchangeably with those other MB's.

That said, there are a lot of CM's who don't posses the needed training or skills to properly activate the MB's and you can have problems which will require a visit to guest services and/or the resort front desk.  That's what apparently happened to AubunJen.  But, maybe you'll be lucky and get a CM who knows what he or she is doing.

Yes, I had to do this to my son's annual pass band this time because he had made his smaller and now has outgrown it.  He bought himself a Sorcerer Mickey one and they transferred everything AP wise at the store and then the rest was transferred at the front desk of the resort.  It was a two step process because the bands were not linked (he had a band for the AP and a band for the reservation because he was on my parents reservation, long story).  But, it can be done.

We have been given a set for every reservation. I chained them all together (like paper rings) and used them as garland this year at Christmas, had about about a 6 ft chain.
