Good relplies. Went toward the main entrance from the barn, hung a left and tried to go under the bridge. The we turned around and only made a it a few hundred feet past the barn until it wasn't fun anymore. I wonder why they don't keep that clear? And the cost was negligible, I want to say ten bucks for two ppl? Not a bad deal for Disney. -
I'm guessing there is a hidden mickey somewhere in the new hanging lights in the lobby. I was there for dinner in January and tried finding one but no luck.

Hitch
PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
Nacole, pm'd you earlier. Do you have a hitch from the old trailer? I've read a lot about those Armada's and seem that people think they are really stable, some say more so than a suburban. If you saved yours maybe try it for a short trip and see how it does. I got my drawtite weight distribution hitch on craigs for a song, like 100 bucks and it is like new. -

Week-long bike rentals at the Fort?
PGHFiend replied to PughHenson's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I was going to say walmart and 8 ppl beat me to it! My go to is craigslist, so I'd be looking to see if I could throw in an extra 20 for delivery. -
Goose, welcome! We're from Pittsburgh, and are heading down end of March. I would think that if you can swing it, get a 3 day in case on of the days you go is out of hand busy or the girls want to go back. Also you won't feel as pressured to "do it all" in one day, honestly just sight seeing I'd a half day. As far a travel to the parks, take the boat from the campground marina right to the MK, kids will love it. To the Animal kingdom is the farthest point on property and honestly, I would drive over, unless you just want to chill on about an hour long commute from site to bus to bus 2 .

Glad you've finally gotten down to 2. Is the 2 grand the msrp or the negotiated price? Remember 70 percent of msrp is the starting point, and if you are buying new, I'd look within a couple hundred mile radius for the exact model number you're looking for. One may be sitting on a lot for 6 months and they are itching to unload it! With a factory warranty, I'd have no loyalty to a local dealer, and would pit 2 dealers with the unit I want against each other. He who talks last loses when making a deal.

Here in the 'burgh, we frequent a place called Yogi Bear in Mill Run, PA. We only go before peak season at $40 or so a night and then it goes to 85-90 a night. Fort is a good deal I think- just wish it wasn't so far.

Nacole, found this on the web, the gentlemen was pretty thorough and may give you an idea what you are looking at. Here is the URL: http://forums.trailerlifedirectory.com/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/25899156/print/true.cfm And I pasted the pertinent stuff below: Topic: Nissan Armada/Coachmen 292BHDS Liberty Edition Tow Report Posted By: steeleshark on 03/18/12 05:23pm Ok, just to show what the 2011 Nissan Armada w/ factory tow package can tow, here are my weights. 7240lbs- Trailer loaded with all except clothes and food. Hitch Weight...
PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
A few last thoughts from me (prob not worth much) 1. This trailer dealer, if they want this sale, should have no issue scaling that trailer for you- Either they have a portable in-house or they tow it with their lot truck to a scrap yard or truck scales, this should be an easy thing to get a definitive answer. If not, there are creative ways to do it with a good bathroom scale and some blocks of wood and a tape measure (Before you buy!) 2. Once you have a baseline, you can then theorize how you will need to or maybe NOT need to distribute the weight to make you feel comfortable. 3. I kno -

PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
You haven't even begun to have a headache. Even though I do believe you'll be fine with the trailer, I looked around and found that an Armada has a max payload of 1600 lbs. So, if you hook on a 1000 pound trailer, you've got 600 pounds for 2 adults and 2 kids plus anything in the car -
Hitch Weight...
PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
On paper they are nearly identical. I'd go with whatever one you like the best, that has the heaviest axles ( 5 or 6 lug). I'd make sure it's aluminum framed and I'd be prepared for getting 6 to 7 mpg. Isn't camping fun?!? -
Hitch Weight...
PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
Hitch weight listed above is the max that the trailer a frame tongue will carry . That trailer should have a tongue weight empty of 570 or less. You would be 100 percent ok with that trailer on your tow vehicle. Also, don't forget all of these numbers are lawyer mandated. Look at all of the old ford Ltd ' s pulling campers in the old fort pics all over this site. Those old cars didn't even have frame hitches! The trailer you listed also had a payload of over a ton, you'll never hit max. I'd say I have MAYBE 500 pounds of stuff in our 5th wheel and it's packed. Add your propane tanks, and hitc -
Hitch Weight...
PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
If you are looking at a trailer with a hitch weight of 780 pounds, in theory the tt should weigh in at 7800. What is the light weight? Can you list the model number so I can help? -
Hitch Weight...
PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
I double checked, 910 is max. Ok then, I'd say look for a tt that is no more than 7000 pounds. Also, when you load for a trip, put everything behind the axles and that should help - don't load it to the roof, but I've even read of people filling fresh water tanks or even waste tanks to offset weight. -

PGHFiend replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
Max tongue weight changes with a weight distribution hitch. Is the 910 the number on the hitch or in the tv owners manual? Did you say you had an Armada? -
I have found that 3M super 77 spray works pretty well to hold old rubber roof down. Now I will say that I have never messed with the felt backed, but I would think it would still hold pretty good since the glue would bite on the fibers. The trick to yours since it look like the roof is a luan foam sandwich, may be to put luan up, drill a 1/2" hole in each panel " compartment"and then use a pro spray wand on some insta-foam and let it set up, then put your wallpaper over the holes once trimmed flat.
