shaffecv got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Gas Golf Carts no longer allowed?
The vehicle rules ( more like guidelines) posted at the Meadows and Settlement bulletin boards make no mention of gas carts not being permitted. (as of 12/1/18 when we checked out)
However the 16 year old guideline is still being requested though it is not being observed by many guests.  Plenty of carts we observed didn't have a 16 year old anywhere near them.
A gas cart with a factory exhaust system isn't  much louder than a battery powered cart. And when they're lifted with big mud tires. you can't tell which is which over the sound of the rumbling tires.  LOL

Isn't it odd, big brother government banned 3 wheeler ATVs because they were dangerous and tipped over, but there are thousands of 3 wheel scooters out there.
Yes they don't go as fast, but there are a lot of people out there that don't know how to operate them.

After a weekend of catching up on vehicle oil changes. Two Jetta's. golf cart, wife's Trailblazer, two dirt bikes and my service truck.
My wife came in the house super excited after work yesterday after she found the "hidden Mickey" I made for her to find on the garage floor.
OH BOY !! September 23rd can't come soon enough or she may need an intervention.

I'm sure the mommy bloggers are just gushing over how great it will be, and of course all the rest of the freeloading bloggers will love it also since they don't pay for it.

I couldn't have said it better myself, sir.
Nothing better than waiting in line with an open bus door in front of you. And watching people in front of you try to fold a stroller and realizing after 4 attempts it's not going to fold with 2 backpacks and a full size Coleman cooler inside of it.
And then clogging the NO BAGS security entrance at the parks because, and I quote
"That's not a bag it's a storage compartment on the stroller".

Yeah... Disney and their musical strollers, is a bit "interesting".  One time, we got some extra FPs because a CM had moved our stroller to a completely different parking area (no where near the parking area that we left it in).  I guess the CM was new and didn't get the concept of the "musical strollers".  Can't say I blame him... I don't really get it, either

None of this would be an issue if Disney would just ban children from the parks.

We thought it would be fun to collect them at night and park them on the beach next to the pirate ship.
Mom wasn't on board... Something about petty theft and bail money.

I like the company's claim that they have been certified as a stroller.
It's amazing that an agency exists with the authority to certify a product as a stroller.

There is still a lot of improvement they could do without taking any more land.
Add sewer to the tent sites. Our 25ft C Class could easily fit on most tent sites.
We've only ever camped at the Fort the week after Thanksgiving but in all the years we've done so the tent loops look pretty lean. Probably due to the cooler conditions in late November.
The sites on the main road side in the 600 and 800 loops could be turned into "pull through" sites without a whole lot of interruption.
Just open them up so you can pull into the site directly from the main road.
Add some sites along the sandy trail behind the 300 loop and make them "Ultra Lakeside sites"

    Welcome to Florida!
    https://www.orlandoweekly.com/Blogs/archives/2018/03/01/a-burmese-python-in-florida-broke-a-record-by-regurgitating-a-deer-bigger-than-itself
A Burmese python in Florida broke a record by regurgitating a deer larger than itself
An invasive Burmese python in Florida pulled off arguably one of the most metal feats of nature this week.

The Conservancy of Southwest Florida announced they found a Burmese python attempting to digest a white-tailed deer that was 111 percent its size in Collier-Seminole State Forest on Thursday.

The fawn weighed 35 pounds while the 11-foot python came in at 31.5 pounds, which the Conservancy called "not a big python by any stretch of the imagination." The ratio of predator to prey is believed to be the biggest ever documented of a Burmese python and could possibly be the biggest of any python species.

When the team found the python they were amazed by the size of the bulge in the snake and could tell it had bitten off more than it could digest.
After it was moved from where it was found, the distressed snake regurgitated the deer.

WFTS has a few incredibly gross photos of the snake barfing out the deer, if you're into that.

The non-native species of python is considered invasive with no natural predators to hunt it. The Conservancy attempts to keep the population down and the South Florida Water Management District has even hired bounty hunters to help the problem.

While I am sure the front desk gets their share of idiots who want Disney to fix issues that are not Disney's fault...whether it be broken outside carts, a non-functioning A/C unit on a personal RV, or a credit card locked by the bank for fraud protection....I still believe the main reason Disney doesn't want outside cart vendors doing business on their property is $$$$.  There may also be secondary liability concerns, but the Mouse is motivated by the sweet smell of Benjamins.

I got pulled aside by a security officer and a plain clothes county sheriff's deputy a few years ago entering Epcot through the no bag entrance.
The deputy showed me his badge and asked me to hand over my knife. He opened it and measured the blade against his badge. The blade wasn't as long as his badge so he said I was good. I think he said at the time there was a maximum blade length of 3". I told him we were at FW and I clipped it in my pocket as force of habit.
He suggested I leave it at the camper the rest of my stay to prevent any more stops by security, which I do to this day when visiting the Mouse.
My boys still joke about it saying they were hoping to see me get tazered.

I don't think that's very considerate of the guests staying on the 100 loop.
Guests aren't supposed to use their cars to drive around the Fort.

I meant to comment on this and add that I've seen folks attempt to load and unload guests at the Settlement intersection, and it is a VERY dangerous situation. There is no safe place for guests to stop there, and doing so creates a problem for all others at that busy intersection. DON'T DO IT.

I can not think that anyone would travel especially in a motor coach and staying in different places without some kind of protection. I would assume everyone would be armed in some way.

A couple of people posted, wondering if Disney was checking state/federal databases once you made a reservation to see if you were licensed to carry a firearm.
Then the guards and CMs would have that info when you checked in and question you about firearms.
I think that is bordering on conspiracy theory.
