The Fastpass/Maxpass system for DW just like DL could be a step in the right direction. No more advanced reservations and placing all guests on the same level playing field. Good point djsamuel!

I find the new one difficult to follow since the destinations are not presented in a logical order.  I also wish there were more US locations besides Monument Valley, but that is beautiful.  I do like the projection quality though.

So if the park is at capacity and most of those people are in the 10 hour wait line, how much wait for the rest of the rides.  Would that be the time to go if you wanted to do everything else? 😃

Not all theme park experiences have to be rides to intrigue guests. Some visitors enjoy educational activities as well as those that give them unique moments with their family.

This is part of an article from  Yahoo.  I like the sound of this.

Richard Bilbao  – Senior staff writer, Orlando Business Journal Jun 11, 2019, 12:17pm EDT   Walt Disney World is tapping into its animation roots to enhance what guests can do at its theme parks.
The theme park announced part of its upgrades at Rafiki’s Planet Watch at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will include a new experience at the Conservation Station. The Animation Experience will allow guests to learn how animals inspired Walt Disney and his animators to make realistic characters in Disney films.
Enlarge The new Animation Experience at Conservation Station helps guests learn how Walt Disney and his animators used animals as inspiration for his films.
    The Walt Disney Co.
Here's more from the Disney Parks Blog:
Not all theme park experiences have to be rides to intrigue guests. Some visitors enjoy educational activities as well as those that give them unique moments with their family.
"We are excited to welcome guests back to greet and hug the animals at Affection Section, catch a glimpse of medical procedures at our veterinary treatment window, learn how our animal care experts prepare meals for and care for the park’s animal residents and more," wrote Dr. Scott Terrell, director of animal and science operations at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, via the blog.
Disney has been investing in its parks during the past decade. Animal Kingdom received its largest expansion to date with the opening of Pandora: The World of Avatar in 2017.
The addition may not be as large as Disney's other major new attractions such as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which will debut in Disney's Hollywood Studios in August, but small upgrades also keep theme parks fresh for fans. That translates into visitation boosts for the region's $70 billion tourism industry, which last year drew a record 75 million people to town.

Definitely because too many people drive RV's when they can't even drive/park a car properly.  I can be critical I had a CDL until I retired.

Well, I'll be honest and say.... we have done that.  Had to park our huge girl in the overflow, while waiting for our site, and there were several utility trailers taking up RV spots.  We simply moved one a spot over, so it was sharing with another utility trailer.

I'll be honest, if I needed an RV spot and a trailer was taking it up, I would move it......  I have seen very few trailers wit a boot on a wheel, and  10 ft utility I can lift the front and move around.

As far as the tp holder when we would go to shows I would always go into the bathrooms close the door and actually sit on the toilet to see if I fit, meaning do my legs hit anything, is it a right or left hand reach for tp and will even stand in the shower to see if I can stand straight up without hitting my head. You should have seen the lady's face when she opened the door and I yelled OCCUPIED!!!!

Well when you think about it clowns are scary things and are only made worse by clowns like Stephen King's "It".
What I think would have been better is a sundae made out to be a unicorn farting rainbows. I can't think of any young girl that wouldn't like that.

    Thanks!
When we pulled our old TT into the lot there was someone there picking up a brand new Airstream.  He was surprised our Open Range was our trade-in and said "It looks new!" He was shocked when we told him it was a 2011.  🙂
    Thanks Gretchen!
I'm not sure how much of it was the hitch and how much is the 2,000 lbs fewer, but it towed amazingly well empty through the mountains.  We'll test it loaded this week. Not going far, but far enough to get a good sense of any adjustments.
Speaking of loading... we'd emptied the old camper out and put everything in the dining room.  Sunday I loaded back in everything I knew for sure we'd need for this weekend.  It was about HALF of what we took out. We've been pretty good over the years of keeping the extra "stuff" to a minimum, but it still accumulates over time.  My plan is to wait until after this weekend to see if I find myself missing any of that other stuff and if I don't - buh bye!

This alligator was caught working on a summer tan in a South Florida pool

Photo cred: Dave Jacobs The mating season seems to have gone awry for one South Florida alligator.

David Jacobs, a Georgia resident who found himself visiting the Sunshine State for a wedding over the weekend, captured an image of a real-life gator laying on top of a not-real-life gator over the weekend.

Jacobs first noticed the gator in the lake behind the home he rented in southwest Miami-Dade County, where it was reportedly keeping a close eye on the family's small dog before migrating to the swimming pool, WKMG reports.

A wildlife management company later removed the gator from the home. No gators – real or unreal – were harmed in the process.

A lot of people say take the money that you would pay for the extended warranty and put it away for the repairs later, plus less of a fight trying to get them to cover the repair.

So... we took the hike up to Burlington last weekend (or as I like to call it AlmostCanada), saw this one in person, and then about eleventy other ones we also liked (including a spiffy little Outback toy hauler that tempted us), but ultimately came back around to this one ticking pretty much all the boxes.  So we signed our names 397 times and will be going back to make the swap and bring home a new camper soon.
This is the actual unit we bought -

We finally took the cover off ours yesterday (the weather has been lousy) and now for the not-so-fun part, emptying it out.  We're both going to be a little sad to see it go - we've had nearly 10 years of awesome times in it. And we know we're making some compromises going down to a smaller unit, but we agree it's time.  Walking around ours yesterday I was already noticing the differences in a "modern" camper vs a 10 year old one - bye bye patterned upholstery and curtains, LOL!  And DH was slightly bemoaning small differences in quality between ours and the Keystone - but then I reminded him that 1) a new, comparable Open Range would probably cost us double (and they don't make our floor plan any more) and 2) Open Range was bought out by Jayco not long after we bought ours and their quality now isn't what it was.  But all in all we're really looking forward to hitting the road with the new one - and especially to towing something that's about 5-6' shorter and 2,000 lbs lighter!
And of course DH is already planning out The Bar 2.0.

Yet another private viewing area for Happily Ever After.  They keep squeezing out the poor slobs who "only" purchased a park admission ticket, setting aside multiple prime viewing areas for those paying extra charges for the various dessert parties, dinner parties, etc.  Making matters worse is the choice they made when crafting HEA to replace Wishes to include all of the projections, making the real estate in front of the castle even more desirable.  That decision has led to the escalation in property values we are seeing in front of the castle....people are willing to pay more and more just to secure their spot, when in years past you could get the same essential show from multiple locations throughout the park for Wishes.  This is like a corrupt City Councilman voting to place a subway station right next to the apartment building he owns, thereby driving up values and rents.  Disney changed the show, molding people's viewing habits and creating increasing competition for a select few viewing areas, then cashes in by selling access to those areas.
