There is a lot of bitterness among the fired/laid off cast, i don't think a lot of them will even want to go back to WDW.
I don't know if it is alright to post this here so, if not, take it down.
Some of the let go cast have created a face book page to support each other and to hopefully sell some of their wares/services.
The name of the group is "ear for each other".  It is a public page but only the fired cast are allowed to sell on it. Anyone can buy from it.  We all can comment and buy.   I believe there are cast from both coasts involved.

Wonder what a wrap does to a cars finish?
if i was the dealer, and I could sell them with the wrap I would.   I bet there a bunch of people that would that would top dollar for a Disney park’s original!

    Thanks, Mo.
Yes, we will all get over it, but it really stings now.
And, we need to keep things in perspective- millions of people have lost their jobs, and 200,000+ more families have lost a lot more.
One more thing- if any of you Disney lovers out there think this won’t affect you, think again. Disney is firing performers who are irreplaceable, and has decimated its Guest Relations staff. The things that distinguished Disney from a Six Flags amusement park are all but gone. The current management thinks guests won’t care.  We are all in for a rude awakening.

I’ll say it again… Instead of cutting entertainment, employees, etc.
cut the prices of their tickets. They’re giving us a subpar product and still charging the same price.

It will bring more people to the parks and those people will spend money on meals and merchandise

I got my 5K walk in this morning. No, before you ask it is not my normal routine. I signed up to participate in the St. Jude Walk/Run to end childhood cancer. Originally the event was supposed to be last Saturday in Huntsville. They changed it to being a “Virtual Walk/Run” today. That way everyone could participate wherever they were. My walk was enjoyable, but I did have to resist the temptation to stop at various campers along the way. Especially when I could smell 🥓

Our apple tree has been EXTREMELY prolific this summer. Enjoy our favorite Apple Crisp and Apple Butter recipes below.

    Apple Crisp:
    (4 servings, can be doubled)
6 apples - peeled, cored and sliced*
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    1 cup brown sugar
    3/4 cup quick oats
    3/4 cup AP flour
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/2 cup cold butter

    1. Preheat oven to 35 degrees.
    2. Toss apples with sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon to coat; pour in to 9" square pan (if doubling recipe, use 9x13 pan).
    3. Mix brown sugar, oats, flour, and remaining 1 tsp cinnamon in a separate bowl. Use a pastry cutter or two forks to mash butter into the oats mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs. Spread over the apples to the edges of the baking dish. Pat the topping gently until even coverage.
    4. Bake in preheated oven until sides are bubbling, about 40 minutes.
    - Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

    Instant Pot Apple Butter:
    Yield: 3-4 pints

    1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider (NOT apple juice)
    1/2 tsp ground allspice
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp kosher salt
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    2 whole cinnamon sticks
    5-6 lbs (or more) apples*

    1. Add all ingredients to IP insert except apples and cinnamon sticks.
    2. Core and slice unpeeled apples into 6-8 pieces and add to bowl. Add enough apples to fill IP insert to "MAX" line.
    3. Pat down well. Stick cinnamon sticks down into apples.
    4. Cover IP and turn vent to "Sealing". Set IP to "Manual" for 8 minutes at High. When cycle is complete, let pressure release naturally for 15-20 minutes and then manually release remaining pressure.
    5. Take off lid and carefully remove cinnamon sticks from apples.
    6. Use an immersion blender until mixture becomes smooth, You can also use a food processor or blender, in batches. Be sure not to fill blender more than half full. Add blended mixture back to IP.
    7. Turn IP to sauté and push the 'adjust' button to LESS'. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened to desired consistency.
    8. Turn off IP and let cool . Store in an airtight container and refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 6 months.

    * Our apple tree is a Macoun, which is awesome for both of these recipes, but you can use whatever type you like.

It always astounds me that people think that rules can't be enforced because there's no law against what they are doing.  No doofus, you didn't break any laws, but Disney is private property, and they have the right to say " GET OFF MY LAWN!" to anyone.  Guess it hasn't occurred to him yet, that he is Hopper, and the ants want to stand up against HIM.

Thank you for sharing your trip.  I am staying close to home and only out for very limited trips, food, meds, doctors.  So your sharing means a lot.  Thanks again.

There are no specific written rules for the Fort. I don’t know if this is necessary or not:

It's a bummer but in the meantime we keep racking up our Chase rewards points.  By the time we finally go next we may have enough to pay for 2 annual passes!

After finally getting a restful nights sleep it was time to leave. My husband and I took one last walk around. This time we walked in a area by the store. More seasonal sites, this place is big. We decided to skip making breakfast. It was looking like rain. We started to pack up. With having a pop up you do not want to take it down in the rain if you know what I mean? Side note we have wanted a new camper for so long but life keeps getting in the way.
My son and I made one more trek up to the bathroom the hill is starting to feel like a mountain. When we got back my husband had it pretty much done. It was starting to get really dark. I was sad that we did not play any games the whole time so, we brought out some uno cards and a few snacks. We just started to play when we heard thunder. So much for family game time. Hitched up the pop took one last look around and pulled out.
Stopped in the office to turn in the gate card. There was two girls working one in late teens one in early twenty's. I told them about are stay and that we would not be back. The older girl new right away right where are site was and the people I was talking about. I told her that it would of been nice to be warned when I called for the reservation. She said the usual sorry and I will pass it on. My son came in just as I was about to leave with a umbrella it was pouring! A perfect ending at least we got all packed up first!
It rained on and off all the way home. Was really storming once we got home with a ton of lighting. We ran in the house with what needed to come in. Once in found out that lighting had struck and we had no cable, internet or, wifi. Looks like family game night is back on.
Final thought it was good to get away we made the best of it. Thanks for reading along and I wish quiet camping nights for everyone!

I’ve ridden it twice but DD hasn’t. And she really wants to.
both times I rode it I was there before park opening and my MDE locked up.
the first time I was next to a CM and they reset my app and got me on last group.
the next time I was at guest relations and told them what had happened before. I was talking with a supervisor and he told me to stay next to him when it opened up.
when it opened up he had my phone and it locked up on him.   So he went on his tablet and gave me a return time.  I’m just glad it wasn’t my stupidity that caused it to lock up.  Lol

Forgot about that since I never used it at the FORT.  I assume it would, but you know how things go, there are no guarantees on what they will do.
,We had an incident where we checked in, and were in the overflow, got our text and decided to finish lunch.  Got to the site and guess what, someone else was on it.  Since it was empty the office went ahead and reassigned it since the other person liked it better.  We ended up with an upgrade from 200 to 400 which the FORT ate for the 10 days.
