    I have respectfully disagree.
Disney has been running an RV park for 40+ years I believe
As you know we own some rental properties and a mobile home park
And we have been looking at adding a small hotel to our properties and/or converting our mobile home park into an RV park.    And I can tell the ROI is a lot better on a RV park
Like most businesses labor is the biggest expense, after debt service.  And there is a lot less labor involved in running an RV park.  One guy and a hose can wash down and RV site in five minutes.
Without getting into to much detail. A hotel room that is rented for a week has to have 6 stay over cleanings and one check out cleaning.
A RV site that is rented for a week only needs a check out cleaning.
A branded hotel needs a “remodel” every 5-7 years. And that includes rooms and public areas.   Mostly the soft goods in the rooms.
An RV park needs to upgrade its public spaces every 6-8 years.
The cost of building a hotel compared to the cost of building a RV park...well let’s just say it’s not even in the same ball park.
And the maintenance and up keep of a hotel is considerably higher than an RV park.
Of course I don’t have a way of factoring in the very expensive real estate that the fort sits on. But in my humble opinion if Disney was to build a new RV resort it would not be on bay lake.
It would be built far from any park or entertainment venue.
And it would turn a tidy profit for Disney

There is still a lot of improvement they could do without taking any more land.
Add sewer to the tent sites. Our 25ft C Class could easily fit on most tent sites.
We've only ever camped at the Fort the week after Thanksgiving but in all the years we've done so the tent loops look pretty lean. Probably due to the cooler conditions in late November.
The sites on the main road side in the 600 and 800 loops could be turned into "pull through" sites without a whole lot of interruption.
Just open them up so you can pull into the site directly from the main road.
Add some sites along the sandy trail behind the 300 loop and make them "Ultra Lakeside sites"

Disney introduces new burly boy hippo
    by Gunnar Shuler
comment photo via Disney Disney just announced the name and gender of their new baby hippo at Animal Kingdom, and it's a burly boy named Augustus.
When you think of the name Augustus, you may think of a pudgy kid from Willy Wonka fell into the chocolate river. However, in terms of the new addition to Animal Kingdom, it's a 168-pound hippo.

Augustus is said to have a playful personality and has spent the last monthbonding with his mom, Luma. RELATED A baby hippo was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom last night
The Nile hippopotamus is the first hippo to be born at the park in 13 years, according to Dr. Scott Terrell, director of animal and science operations.

The Nile hippopotamus is considered a vulnerable species with a declining population, which makes this a birth a pretty big deal.

Great story about a company giving back to the community and then the schmuck author ruins it by calling $1 million “chump change.”  He should have just left it at they are doing a good thing.
je also didn’t mention that it cost over $200 million dollars to make and that doesn’t even include marketing and advertising  and Disney has done and is doing a lot of that
I reporters would just report the 5 Ws like I was taught in journalism school.  And quit adding their own bias.
BTW.  I didnt read were he donated any money to the boys or girls club.

Years ago it was reported that Bill Gates and his wife were setting up a foundation and donating $$X amount ( I don't remember the figure) but the author likened it to an average person donating the change in their pocket.
People/companies do good deeds all the time, but people always want them to do more, while they sit back on their butts, write articles, and complain.

No, TCD, it's not. But I don't consider what has been disclosed here about Hilda to be an invasion of privacy the way you appear to. If I did, I'd have to police every time someone posted what site number someone else was staying in, and that's kind of ridiculous.

Edit: You know what? None of this is going anywhere. Keeping this discussion going only serves to draw attention to information that none of us, apparently, are interested in drawing attention to.

    Her phone number was removed.
It’s not showing her actual address, just neighborhood she lives in.
If you read OPs second post you see that they were curious about someone living at the fort.   Not so much that she’s a TA.
Jason is the only TA that sponsors this forum and he is not only an awesom TA but an awesome person.   He knows more about the Fort and Disney then 99% of Disney fans.
There are other TAs on this site but they don’t make it known or advertise.   I happen to know one personally and if they advertised here I would highly recommend them just like I would jason.
IMHO there’s nothing wrong with post.   I personally would not have posted the fact she’s a TA. Only because she doesn’t advertise here.
Like the OP, I too am curious about living full time at the fort.
    Finally.

We’ve discussed it here and I personally have talked to a few true service dog owners and even a service dog trainer (at Lowes) and they all say there needs to some sort of government regulation and licensing.  And they agree with you that they wouldn’t mind carrying a license to prove they have a legitimate service animal.
I do think it will happen. Unless the travel and hospitality industry self regulates the problem.
However, Everyone (company) has been afraid to step forward and say this abuse is wrong. But it looks like delta got the bal%# to do it first.  And good for delta.
And your right those people that are currently abusing the system will cry foul but I hope the rest of us will shame them into backing down.
    Just my humble thoughts.

Lol. Those comped tickets cost me quite a bit.

Most concerts like most most sporting events prices drop dramatically if the venue is not sold out.    And the opposite is true if it’s sold out.
But you need to buy them from individuals or scalpers.

On another note, one day in Epcot I saw a group of helper animals being trained.  They were standing around the jumping water near the bridge to the worlds.  5-6 dogs in their training vests, each with a human teaching the dog.  All of a sudden over on the left side I saw the last helper in line, a small pony.  Still wonder what he/she was being trained to do for a human.

We were a little worried because of her Honors math class.  She was sitting at 89-90 all semester. But she busted her butt and got a 98 on her final.
