  1. Went to college in that area, Young Harris College, still have friends in the area and go up there when able. Never stayed at that campground, but I like Trackrock Gap Campground. It is up in the mountains between Young Harris and Blairsville. Small winding road up to it, but it also is a very nice place with friendly owners.
  2. You mean he has a day job. I thought his job was to write these trip reports for us who can't afford to travel.
  3. Be careful and watch out for idiot drivers.
  4. 20 years, I can't remember that far back. We made 47 last March
  5. At $9 per pack, 1 pack a day = a full month at Fort Wilderness a year.
  6. I pay with cash when we eat at a restaurant, don't let my card out of my sight. Can I not pay the added gratuity and leave tip on table with no problem?
  7. The bigger the trailer, the bigger your TV needs to be.
  8. Key West is another adult place, a lot there that kids do not need to see. Other places in the Keys are more kid friendly.
  9. With the traffic and not real familiar with the area I would use Disney transportation.
  10. I spent a week in St. Augustine last summer, enjoyed it but don't think it would be a good attraction for a youngster. A lot of history and not tailored for younger people. But every adult should go at least once.
  11. Bet nobody had to rock you to sleep after that day in the Magic Kingdom, I got tired just reading about it.
  12. I agree, 85 is the lowest I would vote for.
  13. This is Florida, I think the weather is perfect, can't stand cold and very seldom turn on AC.
  14. How will this affect the one who book a partial site for a night just to get extra hours and a place to park? How about the freeloader who come in the fort for the day and claim the pavilions around the pool?
  15. Anybody ever consider a underdrive shiftable unit like Gearvendor. You could keep the high 3.08 for mpg and then shift to a lower ratio for towing
  16. Now if all who no longer post will come back it will be even better. I miss them.
  17. I installed a socket on side off camper, through bolting at top close to inside cabinet, large washer on inside, for support. Hand rail slips out for travel and rides on floor inside door. Not stout enough for pulling on, but provides support for us older folks who are not a steady as we once were. Tom
  18. I have that same step as Gwen and have a taller one from Harbor Freight that it slip half way under making 2 small steps to enter camper. I also made a hand rail that mounts on camper for added security for us older folks.
