Getting to and from Loop 1600
BigTom replied to danaveg's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
I never drive to the Parks, if you add in the time it takes to park and catch tram to gate it is not much faster, and after a day in a park I am ready to relax for a few minutes instead of fighting traffic -

Input on motorhome
BigTom replied to BigTom's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
The motorhome belongs to a friend of my son. His father got in trouble with police and his wife wants to sell it and get out from under the payment. I can get it for payoff which is about half of what I find them listed for -

Advice re: 2004 Revolution
BigTom replied to Santa ... Shannon's topic in Camper Suggestions: from tents to Class A beauties
I wouldn't worry to much about the time it has set . I once fired off a power unit that had set 15 years, Cummins 6cyl diesel and it gave no problems. Have had several tractors set u for years with no problems when put back in service. -
Also the tolls are usually lower with sunpass

I agree with most of your rant, however there is no longer a tune up on cars. All you do now is change spark plugs every 100,000 miles or so, nothing to tune up or adjust. By the way, I started working on cars in the 60 and just retired a couple of years ago as a fleet mechanic on police cars, the new ones are much easier to keep running correctly..

Anybody notice all the palm trees being planted on the interstates. They are being purchased from California, think what that cost us.

Tips for buying golf cart
BigTom replied to weekender's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
If a person is only going to use a cart camping a couple of times a year, it is cheaper to rent one instead of buying and maintaining one. Carts are not cheap to own and also you have to transport it. But that is another issue. -
Tips for buying golf cart
BigTom replied to weekender's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I recommend electric carts mainly for the noise. Electrics are almost silent with gas it is hard to have a conversation with who is with you.. -
First visit with 4 kids. ... which loop
BigTom replied to Keenfamily's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
With a pop up, I would try for 1500 loop. Close to pool and is a partial hook up, no sewer. Cheaper than 1400 and close to almost everything. Don't eliminate the 2000 loop some on here don't like it, but I have been in it 4 or 5 times and find it about the same as 1500, but not quite as convenient to the pool. Send me a message if I can answer any questions. -

I tried armadillo one time a long time ago. White meat like pork. Just to say I tried it. -
Availability Issues with Cable Modems?
BigTom replied to bhall's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Arriving on a Monday you should have no problems getting a kit. The only time I have had a problem is on busy holiday weekends. Monday is usually a slow day. Go when you first get there Meadows Trading Post is where you get them. -

BigTom replied to Grumpy and Grandma's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I saw a girl in shorts with short sleeves at Flywheelers today. It was 50 with high winds. -
For a non trip report, you are doing real good imitating a trip report

Beautiful picture of Anna. I also have given up on Holidays and even weekends because of the crowds and attitudes of the campers. I have taken to staying Sunday night leaving Friday mornings to miss the crowd.

Seems like they should have been put in the group camp area where there is a lot of room for tents and room for parking
