  1. I agree with enough vehicle to tow the load. In my book anything over 2500-3000 pounds with a tall profile needs at least a 3/4 ton TV. It takes a lot more than being able to pull a trailer to be able to control a trailer. I don't want the tail to wag the dog.
  2. I always say if someone else can fix it, I can. may not be as fast, but usually I get it done.
  3. It takes them about 30 minutes to get here. We had a barn burn across the street last year and that is how long it took.
  4. As many as Disney uses, I bet they are less than 25 cents apiece
  5. We used a lease on my GKs when they were younger. They didn't mind them and made it much easier to keep up with them. We had a monkey backpack also.

  7. Enjoy that oj, if someone doesn't find a cure for this greening we have there may not be much more oj from Florida. My crop this year was about 50% of last years, We cannot continue to lose money.
  8. My son had to leave 1 day early last summer when someone ran their car into his garage. ($35,000 damage) Disney offered without asking a refund. They stopped in and checked out and final bill was reduced by 1 day amount.
  9. You may like that TV, but bet you would hate gas millage. Probably gets about 8-10 mpg, I had a 30 series GMC van single tire and only got 10 empty and 6-8 loaded. Had to stop for gas every 150-200 miles.
  10. I think that would be a very nice TV. Enough vehicle to tow almost any trailer. There are too many people towing trailers with inadequate TV, there should be a course new owners should take before buying a trailer some don't know they don't have enough vehicle to pull it or know how to tow a trailer.
  11. I have a reservation at Anastasia State Park, it is on the beach close to St.Augustine
  12. I have thought about someone staying at Fort Wilderness for free for sometime now. I don't want to do it, but don't think it would be too hard to do. All you would have to do is look like you belong. The only problem would be sleeping at night, but you could always sleep in a chair on the beach or at a pool. Don't think security would ever brother you. During the day no problem, look at all the freeloaders that spend the day there.
  13. Haven't seen one here yet, but have heard howling at nights. Others have seen them, maybe I don't get up early enough since I quit my paying job.
  14. I am going to stick my neck out and mention that while I don't live near the Fort, about 60 miles away about 90 minutes travel time, I have a mowed field by my pump house behind my home that I keep mowed that would be open to any fiend that would like to leave a RV for a spell. It is not fenced, but is not on the road so no one should be in there but us. Only about 100 yards back of home.
  15. I would be willing to build one for some one. However they are not cheap to build, not sure, but must be close to 75-100 dollars in one in materials.
  16. Don't know how to approach this, but maybe some fiends who live close to the Fort, might permit other fiends to leave their rv on their property for a short stay.
  17. I got mine from Ebay only cost a couple of bucks. Think I order 4 or five of them abd they came with remotes.
  18. Just wanted to express how much I enjoy these trip reports. For those of us who had to cancel our December trips this is a way to get some Disney experience. So a big THANK YOU for all the work all who take the time to write and post these reports. BigTom
  19. As long as the kids hang around, Daddy gets to pays for everything.
