Not to mention that if Disney would let us pick our site when we book online, they would be able to cut out the "site assigner". If the state parks and Corps of Engineers can do it, certainly Disney can. edited to add: I am very thankful for our Travel Agent fiends. Unfortunately, their job is created because Disney is so behind the times.

Congrats on the popup. Your post yesterday got me thinking and I found tent/popup sites available (albeit at $92 per night). Sometimes, I wish we had something small like a popup or truck camper rather than our big trailer. It costs so much to tow it and we have to slow down that it takes us much longer. I looked on Craigslist and found a truck camper for $800. Showed it to DW who immediately shot that down. Oh well, I still have a tent...

We will probably be in FL for sure at the MIL so a day trip certainly wouldn't be out of the question

Hey Janelle ...Haven't seen you around in a while.. I keep thinking about trying to go during Thanksgiving this year. We had such a great time last year but it all went by so fast. Hope you can get your dates.

Our first stay was for our 5 year anniversary in 1993 (we have since celebrated every five years on Disney property). We stayed in a popup in the 100 loop. Sadly, it took ten years to return for our next trip.

We have been to Crooked River State Park there and really enjoyed it.

We're In! Kelly and I are eagerly waiting for the next installment. She just told me "now we have to go on a cruise again......"

We've been toying with the idea of coming down for the weekend. Probably will end up doing something a little closer to home.

Sam's here in GA had them this week. They also had the table which has a fold out to put the grill on. Sorry I don't remember pricing but that grill is on my get list. Funny, I saw Carls ice maker on the aluminum table. Looks just like mine (table and ice maker). Oh, the chairs are the same as ours too. You have good taste :rofl3:

We have one. Ours is an Emerson that we purchased at Target for about $120. We love it and wouldn't camp without it. If you drink alot of drinks needing ice (iced tea), it is a lifesaver.

Love those spur of the moment trips. Been a long time since we have done one. I keep thinking about doing a weekend and ditching the TT for a tent.
