Never heard of this before but there was a plan for an attraction at the Fort called the Adventure House.

There was an open house that afternoon at Mickey's Backyard Massage Parlor and Casino, so most folks were probably partaking of the free hors d'oeuvres and other goodies.     

These things always have an ebb and flow.  Yes, the RV market has exploded in the last few years.  But at some unknown point a combination of things will change that:  the economy will go into recession, gas prices will spike, an international crisis will send consumer confidence plummeting, people will simply tire of RVing and move onto the next big thing.  Etc etc.  Other than a huge hit to the value of our used RV's as hundreds of thousands of unwanted units glut the market, the exit of all of those people from the lifestyle will be somewhat positive for those of us that might remain and will be able to snag campsites again.  It's happened before, and it'll happen again.  Just look at the economic history of Elkhart, IN.  Boom, bust, boom, bust, and so on.  The issues is, there is no way to know when it'll happen.  But when it does, watch out.  I wouldn't want to be one of the large banks lending in that space when the bottom drops out.  Repossess a house, and you have a chance of getting out.  Repossess an RV in a down market, and you've got a depreciated, rotting hunk of junk.  

Looks like a fantastic trip!  Well...except for that unfortunate run-in in OKC.

Awesome!  I didn't realize they had added a writing desk complete with typewriter at the Settlement.  I'll be sure to pack my pipe the next time I visit, and I'll write the next great American novel.  

So I have a theory.  A former bus driver plans on firebombing the EWP, and was practicing today.  

Somebody told me one time that the store is just ok, but it can be entertaining to watch a woman trying to fit 6 restaurant chairs into her car.  

I think they have a ski show on the lake in front of the hospital one Saturday a month with the skiers from  the old show for free. It is on a lake side and you need to bring your own chair.

There used to be 17 cabanas on the family beach, and 4 at Serenity Bay, as noted on this map.

But at some point, they built 4 more cabanas at the Family beach, and re-numbered the Serenity Bay cabanas from 18-21 to 22-25, as per the current map below.  So, current cabana 22 used to be cabana 18, and they figured that nobody would ever notice that the nautical flags no longer match up with the cabana number.

Gives a whole new meaning to "Live Streaming".  

This guy is a shining example of why people mistrust and dislike the media.  Not only reporting bad information but doing so in an elitist manner.  

What they need for people waiting in long lines is food and drink ordering from the app, delivered to you while you are in line.  I can imagine I'd buy a lot of beer and Mickey pretzels if it would pass the time while standing in the queues.  

My motorhome self-identifies as a tent.  It's a little concerning at times but who am I to judge.   Maybe some of those people you saw in 2000 are going through the same thing.  I've been told it's best to let your RV express itself, and if staying in a partial site will show it the proper level of love and support, not to mention save a few bucks, I'm all in favor.   

I'm not sure Uncle Owen was the brightest bulb in the box.  May he rest in peace.
