Why do they do this just on the holiday weekends? I know there will be more people there on a holiday and of course more freeloaders, but we need this all the time. Freeloaders and local abusers are just that. Fort Fiends who want to visit friends will always find a way around this and get in which is fine. It's the people that abuse the fort is the ones we should keep out. If the crappy Fort Managment thought of this on a daily basis, we could enjoy the pool more, the picnic shelter more and have less people who just don't belong. The $7.35 an hour traffic people at the intersections kill me though. I suppose Halloween night would be an exception with all the traffic. You couldn't catch me dead there on th 10/31, but that's my opinion. Not to keep riding a dead horse but we pay big bucks for a cement pad and a rusty grill. We should at least get the decency daily of the secuirty keeping abusers out. Please don't get snarky Lou....lol

Finally, still no pin or certificate though, but that's no surprise, I'm still waiting for the one year stuff.
As long as it's on my record card, that's what counts.

We were wandering Epcot and, the skys opened up again, and Rick is like, I don't wanna cook in the rain.
So here is where the surprise comes in. I get on my phone to see what is available. I open up the web browser to go to Disney's restaurant reservation system.
The first surprise I get is a Mobile Restaurant Reservation Site (it said Beta in the corner). It prompts me for permission to find my location. I ask for dinner reservations based on my location. The site looks like it will be quite useful. It gave me several choices, one of which was LeCellier!!!! 6:20 party of two!!! I quickly punched book this, plugged in my email address and cell phone number, and a confirmation text came right back!!!:banana: :dance: As many of you may realize, getting a LeCellier reservation same day is almost UNHEARD of. Also dealing with the phone system even on a local basis is a nightmare, so a mobile dining reservation system is awesome!!!
So, now that we needed to spend a couple more hours in Epcot, we needed to make sure we really slowed down our pace.
Here is our dinner
Mine is the Potato Leek and Goat Cheese Quiche - with melted leeks and truffle buttter sauce

Ricks is the Grilled Bone-in Ribeye - 16 oz. bone-in ribeye with herb-parmesan potato wedges and maple-pink peppercorn butter

I am not a vegeterian at all, but I like trying different stuff.
I also had the Cheddar Cheese Soup. Unfortunately, the Cheddar was VERY sharp this evening, a lot more than I remember.
Dinner was delicious!!!!!

Just an update.
We did get the pass fixed!!
We were at the Guest Relations window at Disney Quest.
I didn't have my annual pass on that impromptu trip and it took 20 minutes and two managers to reprint that, Grrrr.:argh:
BUT, we then asked the 2nd manager to help with fixing the renewal date in Rick's pass and that took 30 seconds!!!:banana:

Just set up in 912! Whoo Hook!!! Looking forward to seeing Ya'll!

Nice Hotel. A little run down, smells a little musky, staff is weird, but overall it's nice.    :banana:

Unfortunately, that's one thing I'm not good at. When I go Scout camping, the troop has complete kitchens and the boys cook. When I tent camped at Disney, I ate out. (I still eat out when I bring the camper to Disney).

However, they have NEVER used this feature. The building and concrete settled and they can't get the modules OUT!!!
So therefore, they remodel the rooms the old fashioned way. I'm also guessing it's a lot cheaper.

Pretty much ANYTHING except the Dream Scooter fits. However, for the best speed and longevity, I recommend that you rent a Pride Mobility Victory 10 - 3-Wheel ECV

My spouse owns one, and that thing scoots all over Fort Wilderness and Disney World , rides on all the buses, day in and day out, and we just plug it in to charge every night. We leave it outside the camper also and just cover it with a gas grill cover.

I continue to be astounded at the decisions being made "over there." Speaking for myself, I have no desire to be hostile to anyone. The success of our site is entirely independent of the success of theirs, so I do not need to feel any sort of hostility to people who post links to their site.
But if they want to continue driving people our way while also reducing their own population, well, I certainly can't complain about that. In fact, I thank them for the extra traffic. It's like it says in my sig:

I also had to go and mail this...

all the Fiends stuff, which when I went to the post office, they were closed and they did not fit in any of the mailing boxes they had :rofl2:  When I went the next day and waited in line, she fussed at me about having the previous day's date on them.  I told her if she had an opening big enough for my boxes, they would have been mailed yesterday. :rofl2:

I am just going to randomly post some photos from my phone. We are having a blast! My Mama wants to stay at least three more weeks! She doesn't even want to go out to eat tomorrow, so we'll probably be cancelling our ADR's for WGP cafe.

I think I did a Dang Good Job of backing that 5er in for the first time!

Thanks for reading along y'all! I wish we could have brought all of our Fiend Friends with us, especially y'all poor northern folks!

Like others, we've done Fort trips without doing parks, and I remember those as my favorite trips. More relaxing, we take time to visit the other resorts and walk around, we ride the monorail and grab a drink at the Poly, we go to the WL for lunch, we hit DTD for an evening....and most importantly we enjoy all that the Fort has to offer! Rent a canoe, fish, ride bikes, ride the boats, look around the trading posts, ride the ponies, check out the barns, visit with the blacksmith, loop, check out decorations...the list goes on and on! :banana:
I don't think you could possibly get bored there in a couple of weeks. I think you could get relaxed, but not bored.

My daughter is going to go to Fort Wilderness on her Honeymoon. We have heard you can rent campers and have them set up for when you arrive. As it is just the two of them does anyone know where to rent a small maybe even a pop up?? They are flying in and would what it set up upon arrival and taken away after.
