  1. I wouldn't trust a CM to back up a Barbie trailer into a spot in a kids playroom. I woke up in the middle of the night once at the fort when a CM was helping a guy with a 40 foot 5er back into a 35 foot spot across from me. I went out and asked if they wanted me to pull my truck out because that was the only way they were getting into that site but the CM told me they had it under control. A half hour later they gave up and I assume moved to another loop.
  2. I used to do my own when I had a smaller trailer. Now I pay my guy when it goes in for inspection. I have ez lube hubs, never use em. If you get too enthusiastic with the grease it can squirt thru the rear seal and get on the brakes. Not a good thing. Ez lube was meant to be used on boat trailers, but somewhere some RV manufacturer decided it was a great idea for RV's.
  3. Of course anyplace that has lifted will quickly be peeled away in large chunks by the delinquents.
  4. The two I caught came off the boat and were headed in the direction of the Hoop Dee Doo. When I yelled at them, they took off and got lost in the crowd.
  5. This afternoon it is 90 degrees at the Cadillac Ranch, the boys are out in the back yard, FWG has finished the chores wifey left and she is off at her part time job, so what to do? Why, sit on the back deck and drink a Kungaloosh, of course. So I wondered after my first, what is the proper plural of Kungaloosh? I come to the experts. I am sure someone must know what he plural of Kungaloosh is. Kungaleesh? Kungalosshes? Kungali? I have had three and you have no idea how hard it,is to,write this.
  6. The Outback has a rear slide, so I cable the bikes under the slide to the rear bumper.
  7. I have personally sat on the porch at Crocketts and watched as two twenty something's attempted to steal my wife and my bikes that were locked in the bike rack right in front of me.
  8. Not only is the mac and cheese good, it is the only Mac and cheese I have had that tastes good the next day warmed up in the microwave.
  9. You telling me they can make fries out of steak? And I thought the death of the cinnamon bun on Main Street was when the magic died for you.
  10. I never knew fries were an option. Cowboy beans and Mac and cheese. Why would you want anything else?
  11. The technic used depends on the awning. In my case, you could lock the right side with a cotter pin or nail, but the left side not only has no hole for the nail, but if you could put one in there is nothing inside for the nail to engage to prevent the spring from unwinding. The ratchet on the right side makes a nail or cotter pin unnecessary.
  12. I repaired the old one with gorilla tape but that didn't work.
  13. The problem came with the left hand spring. You have to load the spring then put the end plug on the support arm. Not easy with a loaded spring. I ended up putting the cap on the arm and winding the spring by rotating the arm like a propeller. The other side was no problem since it had the ratchet.
  14. Now I am not by any means an expert, but I am a lot smarter now re. replacement of the awning fabric on a Dometic AE awning. The job took about 5 hours total including lunch and pee breaks, and I will admit I have not put away my tools yet. I also have many band aids on my hand and just about got killed by a flying vice grip pliers as a spring released tension and I lost my grip. But if your local RV repair shop is like mine, they would have charged me 600 bucks in labor over and above the 200 bucks for the fabric, my camper would have sat in their lot for a month and the work would have b
  15. I have done the math a few times, and DVC just never works out. I have a friend who owns points at three, count them, three DVC resorts and all he does is complain about paying the maintenance fees every year. I bet he will buy into a fourth resort.
  16. I always like to visit the lobby area of the DVC at Wilderness Lodge. Lots of great photos on the wall and a couple of the original cars from Walts Carrollwood Pacific RR.
  17. That is exactly what we do. If the power goes out for whatever reason, it would take no time at all for the camper to reach lethal temps in the Florida heat, and even if you monitor your trailer with one of the systems available, there is no way I could make it from a park to the trailer in time to save the boys. The money spent on Best Friends is money well spent.
  18. My two liked the Disney cartoon channel when we were down last October.
  19. Stop by the Outback next time I am in the 3000 loop for cheap eats and free insults. We don't need no stinkin Whispering Canyon.
