5kidsmommy reacted to DaveInTN in Sorcerer's Hat Leaving DHS - CONFIRMED
The BAH is scheduled to be demolished in February 2015. My sources tell me that a new, iconic focal point will be constructed in its place to usher in the new overall theming for the park, which will be renamed Disney's Warm, Ooey Gooey Kingdom. Yes, folks, you guessed it....they're building a giant cinnamon roll.

I have not stayed in the cabins, but have done all the food for most of our family trips. Definitely bring your crock pot. :-)

5kidsmommy reacted to mouseketab.....Carol in MyMagic+/FASTPASS+ How it Works, Attractions and Experiences
The more I'm playing with MDE, the more I'm liking it. We spend short amounts of time in the parks, usually pretty late in the day, and only rode maybe one or two attractions, and usually missed a few things cause we've done so much over the years we don't wait in lines.
Now with MDE, we can still spend a short amount of time in the parks, can ride the headliners we've reserved in advance.
I was just telling Rick, we might have to go to MK at Rope Drop one morning, so we can ride Seven Dwarfs, but just now, was able to get an afternoon slot for Seven Dwarfs one of our days. We also almost never ride Peter Pan due to the line, and now we can ride it.
If we can just get the Magic Bands to work on the comfort stations, I'll be a happy lady!!!

5kidsmommy reacted to LONE-STAR in Rumor: Jedi Training Academy Changes?
Ok I need a reopen date. Out of the blue today my little girl says " Dad I am 5 now I need to fight Darth Vader" so she is planning this. When we got home she looked up trainning videos on you tube. So she could practice then out came the play swords.

5kidsmommy got a reaction from fladogfan aka Gretchen in My Sad, Happy, Sad, Happy, Sad, Happy, Kitten Adventure.
We recently took in a fifth cat. We really didn't want to but he seemed to choose us and I've been feeding him for close to a year, he started coming inside and then I took him to get fixed with the idea that he would go back outside. Well there were some issues with the neutering and he has to be inside for at least 3-4 weeks, so he is ours. He slept in our bed last night, curled up to my husband, so he is ours, I couldn't turn him away now.
Lou, you are a wonderful human being.

5kidsmommy reacted to devores in Memory Maker?
I'm sure you have your answer now. But wanted to rehash the info.
The photos expire 45 days from the date taken. Memory maker allows you to download your photos for 30 days from the first download. So say you download your first set of photos on 1 oct. For the next 30 days you can download any photo in your account. Once the 30 th day hits, any photos added are not part of that entitlement. But you can still download the photos taken during that 30 day period until they are deleted.
Any photo viewable in your account is downloadable. This means that if friends or family that link accounts and share photos can be a part of that entitlement. It is a one time use so you'll havd to purchase another one if you return for another trip.
The candids are great and ride photos are a plus, but don't forget there's special content currently only available to memory maker holders. Like the 7dwarves mine train video and photos, or tot video, of the special magic shots.
Memory maker is well worth the money if you take advantage of the photographers around the parks.

So, I will be running; at least 1 Wild Womenz is interested in a Pass; and maybe I will have a small ChEar Squad and Party Animals at AK. Sounds like a plan.

Two other trailers I found.....
One is what they had last year... 4 bunks, jacknife sofa, dinette, queen bed, but does have a slideout (oops, I was wrong, no slideout). Total cost for 5 nights - $615.00
Another one is a 5th wheel with queen bed in front, foldout sofabed, dinette, two bunk bunkroom, and two loft bunks - This would be easier to sleep 8 - total cost $775.57
Both of these options seem to include more than the one I originally listed (plus found some hidden fees that bring the cost up on the original camper I found.)
Just some ideas for thought. If anyone else has any other ideas for campers please chime in!!!!
(Or if there is a generous Fiend out there that has a bunkhouse camper that they would be willing to deliver and let the WWW use, we would happily accept!!!)

I will probably have to register for the run when it opens in December. I wanted to run this one anyway, so ... WWW or not, I will be there.

5kidsmommy reacted to Roller ... aka Ed in WWW 2015
If I register for the run, I would probably be staying at Shades of Green. If I am there, I can purchase a limited number of military discount tickets. The current deal is a 4 Day Park Hopper for $169.00. I would have to be present when the tickets were first activated.

5kidsmommy got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in I'm ecstatic finally sensible signs
I blame the parents for that one. My son skateboards but he knows most parks don't allow it so his board usually doesn't come with us when we camp unless we are planning on taking him to a skatepark. And when we go to Disney the board stays home, no need for it since they aren't allowed.

Would be better if they added "Violators Will Be Shot".

I know this is too little too late but if you ever have wet sneakers again, stuff them with newspaper overnight. In the morning they will be completely dry. I speak from personal experience!!

5kidsmommy reacted to BradyBzLyn...Mo in Cheating on Fort Wilderness... A Confession.
As long as I don't have to back it in anywhere, I'm good. I drive the majority of our 1400 miles (each way) anyway.
I figured I'd sort the backing up part out when I got to the Fort. :rofl2:

5kidsmommy reacted to Matt in Partial Hook Up or Premium
Great news today. I called the Fort to cancel the golf cart. While I was talking to them I asked to be transferred to the front desk. I asked if a preferred site was available. She said yes! When I asked how much more would it be she said "No charge. I'm upgrading you for free." What an awesome surprise!
