  1. I take it back. Clearly, that is the little known monorail "roundhouse" where they conduct secret testing.
  2. Sheesh....can't believe the Disney "experts" are so stumped on this one That is Space Mountain in early construction. That's not monorail track...wrong cross section, the monorail doesn't make such a hard curve anywhere like that over there.
  3. I'm a Disney fan. I'm a Star Wars fan (not a geek). I am not a Disney/Star Wars mash up fan. I think it is pretty stupid to have Disney characters dressed like this. Anything for a dollar, I guess.
  4. That sticker is just a CYA for them. A little breaker like that is no big deal.
  5. I have checked quite a lot. It really doesn't matter too much since we will only be there 4 nights. Rocky Bayou is just across the bay in Niceville by the AFB. It looks looks nice and quiet. For a 4 night trip our holding tanks are big enough not to worry about full hookups. Plus my wife's sister lives in Crestview so it will be convenient for them. I plan on taking the little Weber Q and a big cooler to make a full day out of crab island. I've never been out there, but I've wanted to go for some time now. I may even take our expandable canopy out there too. I wonder if there are any laws p
  6. Re: the electrical box warnings An arc flash can occur when racking a breaker in or out. In simple terms you can be hit with molten copper and extreme heat. Protective equipment can range from simple gloves or clothing to shields, or bomb technician looking suits. The size of the breaker dictates what type of protection is needed. Arc flash gear is rated by "calories". The higher calorie rating the better the protection. Large breakers can kill in an arc flash incident.
  7. I just booked 4 nights at Rocky Bayou SP ($16 per night) just across the bay in Destin (Niceville) for July. We are going to rent a pontoon boat and carry the kids, playpen, grill, cooler and such to Crab Island for a day. I tried for Topsail and Henderson, but everything is booked solid.
  8. The lack of crowds was nice. It did fill up more in the mid morning, but it was still a light day. I'm not sure what happened with the drawings. The meltdown was funny, but not to them. Don't feel bad...it is all apart of the experience. They will do better next year, I hope. It doesn't get much better than that in my book. Thanks!
  9. I've edited my OP with a 2013 addition
  10. Enough info on Topsail to bore you to death http://www.dep.state.fl.us/parks/planning/parkplans/TopsailHillPreserveStatePark.pdf
  11. I love Topsail! We had a great time there in January. I'm not super crazy about the beach, but I can do it for a few hours. There is also some nice hiking there if you enjoy that type of thing. We stayed on site 34, but I also liked the newer sites. We really wanted to make another trip this summer, but it is not looking good for availability. I think we are going to Rocky Bayou SP, since Henderson is also full.
  12. Twas! And I thought that the 20% off and free bottle that I got was a good deal. You did well!
  13. Memorial Day weekend found us back at our local CG. I took Friday off and pulled the camper up Thursday afternoon. By 4:30 I had scored a nice pull through and had everything set up. This will be a short TR, but here a few more from this same CG if you are interested in more pics. http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/7745-tr-fall-at-the-falls/?hl=noccalula http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/6375-noccalula-falls-mothers-day-we/?hl=noccalula http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/3973-halloween-bash-at-the-falls/?hl=noccalula That should about do it. Our set up for the weekend.
  14. Welcome back to the slowest TR ever! We left off with a lazy non park day, but we were still able to get a lot done even on a lazy day. The date is 3/20 we awoke to threatening skies and sprinkles. I was cautiously optimistic after checking the radar on my phone. While we were getting ready and preparing breakfast a good rainstorm came and went. This would turn out to be a good thing. We cruised in the family truckster on over to HS. The parking lot was nice and empty, but we were subjected to the extra mile of walking due to driving a dually :banghead: We barely missed rope drop
  15. Looks like you were correct! They are quite handy. Thanks...we are getting by. I don't. There is always some dirt to move or brush to knock down. Thanks. Thanks and thanks. Welcome aboard! Wait no more.
  16. That's bulletin board code. It means "end thread"..... as in that's all the info needed, shut her down.
  17. Now you can upgrade to a 5'er for the ultimate in stability then realize the 3/4 ton isn't enough either. ;-)
  18. Don't stop at the KOA just east of Tally. That place sucks for the cost.
  19. Thanks. Playing in the water is big business with my crew. Can't do one tonight. I'm about to turn in. I've been cleaning up storm debris all afternoon, but it did give me an excuse to go buy a Bobcat track loader with air conditioning. It's my new toy.
  20. That's a good idea. I do that with the girls at the teacups. I looked at the dock and didn't see anything exciting.... maybe erosion repair? Motel 6? I saw a few CM tags. Thanks. They are 12 months and 3 weeks apart.
