swimmarz got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Disney Chase CC deal
I was browsing the disney site today, as i got my gift cards from delta for giving up my seat this past Friday.
That 2 hour delay cost Delta $600 in Amex gift cards, and well I was already planning on buying passes in a week or 2 so i could make fast pass reservations 60 days out from 12/11

While on the site and looking around I got one of those pop up offers from Disney visa, and I took it.

They were offing a $200 statement credit on a $500 of purchases made in the first 3 months

So i used the $600 in Amex cards that Delta sent me, along with $100 in other gift cards i had received last week ( work likes to give gift cards for silly contests)
and I purchased the 2 adult tix with that....

I then singed up for the CC, purchased my sons ticket at $350.38 and then paid the remainder of my December booking, $178) for a total of $528.
so in the end getting the card purchased 1.5 days a disney, and $25 off my sons ticket... $328 it what ill owe them....

yes there is an annual fee of $49 but that will be assessed a year from now, and in my experience, you can call and get it waved, ( i have a jetblue amex and have done it 2 times)
I am also sure that ill get more than the $49 back as it offers 2% cash back on purchases at disney, and gets you into that elusive character  pic in Epcot innovations west with a free pic.

just thought i would put that out there for anyone looking for a deal.

I was a newbie and never held up the line. Just give me my site number, gate key/MB's and map and I am on my way. I much rather figure everything else out at my site with a beer in the shade.

swimmarz got a reaction from djsamuel in got a few mods installed today
    UPDATE!  Its Fixed

So if you have been following along, I had a tire clearance issue, i ordered the parts and those came in yesterday, along with the the second order of parts from FR
I purchased  the correct kit, and again FR sent the wrong kit!

Now the only thing outstanding is the Check from FR to cover the Parts i purchased

install was just under 1 hour, and then i did 2 road tests and decided with the lift kit installed i needed to flip the receiver as it was originally a 2 inch drop, now its a 1.XX something rise and everything sits exactly where i want it.
heres my 2007 Nissan Xterra and my 2016 FR rockwood 2516G

    The Before under the Dinette

    and now the After

What Jason said.  He explained everything to me, & I don't have a problem with it. So far, we have a 1 day, a 4 day, and 2 more 1 day reservations, all for a premium site. The last 3 reservations are continuous, but oddly those days didn't show up as one reservation.

This experience has taught me not to wait until the last minute to make reservations, if trying to make December reservations in May can be called last minute. I've already booked a site for Halloween 2016.

One upside to this is we get a Magic Band for each reservation, so we'll get to complete our collection quickly. We can decorate our Christmas tree with them.

I suppose someone might be factoring in that check-in time is technically 1pm, but we all know (as do they) that campers show up at all times.

Plus if I'm at a resort, I can't open the door and stand there staring at the person impatiently and tapping my foot while they're packing up.

I have a feeling if this is really a test, they're going to discover it only really works during the "slow times" - otherwise known as 3 Tuesdays and Wednesdays in September.

I don't understand the part of your comment I bolded above.

If someone pieces together reservations for different types of sites, and there is no availability when they get there, they're going to have to move.  Nobody is getting screwed out of a site.

    Correct Andrew.

In this case I have been able to get him all but one night of what he wanted in a premium site. Once I get the last one I will have Disney note the reservations as a continuing reservation to increase the chances of him not having to move sites. It lets the site assigner know they have more days with them. Never guaranteed but I have not seen/heard of someone haveing to move sites.

Only downside is since they are separate reservations you have to check out and back in to each one. But each one has its own deposit so more of the trip is paid for ahead of time.

I was reading the blog and i wanted to point something out, you said you used the 4 way flashers while driving.
If you were in Florida that was illegal. I believe you were in Georgia but wanted to point it out.

I'am not here to beat anyone up over this, but educate, Anytime we get heavy rains in the forecast the news stations run the story to educate the public
    see below for details.
    drive safely

In Florida, it is illegal to drive with your hazard lights. Hazards lights are for stopped vehicles only, officials say.
The one situation where Florida drivers are allowed to use their hazards when in motion is when the vehicle is being used in a funeral procession .
A Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson told NewsChannel 5 that flashers are for emergency situations.
"First responders look for flashers to see if someone needs help," said an FHP spokesperson.
Law enforcement officials say hazard lights can actually reduce visibility making other drivers think you are stopped or stalled.
Other drivers writing on social media say flashers make it difficult to see when a motorist is tapping the brakes or using a turn signal.
The FHP spokesperson says if visibility is so bad that you cannot see, pull over in a parking lot, plaza or somewhere safe until conditions improve.
