WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from fladogfan aka Gretchen in Public events at FW?
Just want to throw this out there.
Our last trip we were fortunate enough to stay at the Grand Floridian and their pools did not have MB scanners, anyone could walk in and out of either pool.
We thought we saw some people pool hopping but you really never know if they were or not. I do know that their pools are much larger and nicer than the Fort.
YOU HEAR THAT FREE LOADERS!
Go to the Grand Floridian, they have two pools, a waterfall, waterslide a zero entry, hot tub, two bars, complimentary towels and a kids play area! They also have grills near by because of the GF Villas! Go there and give the Fort a break!

WannaBeImagineer reacted to ftwildernessguy in Send FWG To The 3000 Loop (and it won't cost you cheapskates anything)
I am planning a trip to assess the damage Irma did to the 3000 loop. Beer lines are already scheduled for replacement, so mainly I will be focusing on the massage parlor. I can't hook up the Outback, however, until I hit at least 650 likes. So it's all up to you!

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from Katman1356...Jason in High airline prices for Christmas
Just wanted to add about the smaller low cost airlines. When there is something wrong with them they can delay you for days because they don't have numerous flights per day or numerous planes to reschedule you on. Just something to think about.

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from LONE-STAR in Is the Great Movie Ride Going to Close Permanently? CONFIRMED
Add me to the group of not liking that Mickey. They seem to have more adult style jokes also, not geared to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse age. Speaking of which the old Mickey animation is still around, they have a new show Mickey and the Roadster Racers.
W loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the Roadster Racers but will not watch the other Mickey annimation, he's not a fan of that weird style.

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from Tony in Disney is lifting block out dates so people can ride Great Movie Ride and Energy Encounter in August
I'd love to be there right now, in a crowd less Epcot, drenched in sweat walking from one country's air conditioning to another.
Sounds pretty great to me, and much better than working on these TPS reports.

I don't know. I think I'd pay twice that for a burger just to be able to eat it in a fake fiberglass car and watch B movie clips.

I agree, Epcot is a must for us. After rushing around the other parks we look forward to just walking and relaxing in Epcot.

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Sam's club Disney gift cards
I'm bumping this post with an update.
Today at my Sam's in south Louisiana they had $500 gift cards in stock. It's the first time I've ever found them at our store. The price in store is $474.98, that's a pretty good savings.
They are also back in stock online but they are listed at $479.98 and you have to add $0.99 for shipping and they have a limit of one per order.
I've been watching gift cards because for I used them for the first time to pay off my resort reservation. I ended up buying the 3-packs of $50 cards and consolidating them on the giftcard website before making payments. It was a lot of work but saved me some money so I guess it's worth it.
Just an FYI at my Sam's the 3-pack valued at $150 cost $144.98. It used to $142.98 but went up recently. Online they are listed at $142.98 but they charge the 99 cents shipping.
I wish the $500 cards would have come back in stock sooner that would have saved me some more money and lots of time.

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from momof3kids-Yvonne in Flight of Passage breaks record for wait times today at 400 plus minutes
Heck in that amount of time I could fly to California, go to Disneyland and still have enough time to ride a few rides.

If you are still enjoying your trips, and making good memories with your kids, by all means take those trips. Keep in mind that everyone on here is in different stages of their Disney relationship. Some have been going for many years and are jaded. Others have been going a long time and will continue, as they simply love Disney. Many more are in the early stages of their Disney crush and the magic is still being made. If your only doubts about continuing on your journey are due to the opinions of others, please pay them no attention. You may come upon Disney burn out on your own, in your own time. But if you're not there yet, go and enjoy yourself. Even I, a recovering Disney addict and sometime hater, still find many things at WDW that I enjoy, despite my complaining. Don't let me or anyone else get you down.

WannaBeImagineer reacted to ImDownWithDisney in Wishes! to be replaced with new Happily Ever After show
Quick thoughts.... It's a fun to watch show, a technology marvel, visually stunning, seems too commercial and disjointed...like a bunch of clips smashed together, I didn't follow a story like in wishes, not much emotion for me. Compared to wishes this new one has much more wow factor but short on emotion and an inspirational storyline.

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from JMSisko in Gondola System coming?
I'm reading the permit application now and I see the shapes they are talking about that look like a gondola station but man that's a big leap on very limited information.
The engineer report is very vague (probably on purpose) here's the project summary:
This application, L402 Basin Update, seeks a permit modification for additional stormwater system improvements within the L402 Basin. These improvements are in support of various building, roadway, construction laydown and parking lot modifications across the L402 basin.

Nothing like a salsa dance party in the public area behind a campsite to make you feel like you are really camping in the wilderness.

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from Avatab.... Steve in Caribbean Beach & Coronado Springs Expansion
I didn't see an old thread so I started a new one.
Walt Disney News Today has confirmed this from the Disney Parks blog but I haven't found that yet:
http://wdwnt.com/blog/2017/02/confirmed-expansions-caribbean-beach-coronado-springs-resort-hoteis/
From the Disney Parks Blog:
Whenever it’s time to share exciting news about a new expansion project, I remember one of my favorite Walt Disney quotes. “We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
Today, we are thrilled to share with you that changes are on the horizon at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort over the next two years and let me tell you, there is a lot to be excited about!
The expansion at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will include a new 15-story tower that will add 500 rooms, featuring suites and concierge level services. The resort will also refurbish its current resort rooms and transform its landscape with floating gardens and an island oasis that connects the resort through a series of bridges.
The new tower overlooking Lago Dorado, the resort’s centerpiece lake, will allow guests to experience something truly unique, rooftop dining with panoramic views of popular nighttime fireworks from nearby Disney theme parks.
Also during this exciting time, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will be reimagined with new additions to the resort’s current marketplace, Centertown, including new waterfront dining and retail shopping areas. This centralized location will offer the resort’s guests more convenient access to services, amenities and dining.
At Walt Disney World Resort, many of our guest’s magical memories start at one of our 27-themed resorts each and every day, which is why we will always continue to “move forward” and “create new experiences” that are integral to the overall resort experience!
We can’t wait to share more with you as these projects come to life!

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Can you choose a site?
This happened to me on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I thought it was real nice of the guy to show me the book, of course this was at 8am inside the outpost not at a booth. After we looked through available sites he said if you want to wait there are some better ones coming available and showed me the area he was talking about so I decided to wait.
But then 30 minutes later I got a text so we drove back with the trailer and it turned out I was assigned one of the originals I didn't want. That was not fun. So then I called from a comfort station phone and ended up getting one he showed me before in a loop I originally didn't want. The site turned out great and I should have just taken it to begin with.
As others have said it really depends how busy they are.

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from Tri-Circle-D in Star Wars: Episode VII
I saw it on Saturday and thought it was really good! Like others have said more in line with the originals, which is a very good thing.
I did good avoiding spoilers but it wasn't easy.
I will say I don't think I needed the 3D, I felt like there were only a few times it was worth it.
Also it seemed like there was a lot of unanswered questions, and a quick google search shows that lots of people agree with me. Guess that means I'm hooked for the next one.

WannaBeImagineer got a reaction from keith_h in TCD mystery solved
Just posted about this site on the other thread.
It's great they have such a good time and enjoy family.
But the setup seems excessive to me and I'm surprised the Fort allows it.
On the other hand after all these years why haven't they made a kitchen/cooking trailer yet? And bought a camper?

Just noticed this also:
They are getting rid of a wetland that was right by the entrance due to construction:
I had to read the application to notice that one.
