  1. Could they be trying to entice the ticket holders to burn their tickets now instead of waiting and using them later?
  2. There is no dump station. They tell you to find an empty site with sewer and dump, then leave the site.
  3. Our last trip there was an elderly gentleman that came into the loop we were in and then unhitched his toad. I thought it was a bit rude until I realized that he was alone. I realized that it would be a long walk for him to get back to the hitch/unhitch area. He was proficient and had it unhitched in a couple of minutes. It was dark and I assisted him to get his coach backed into the his site. In all it took him 10 minutes and he had the loop clear. Afterwords, it did not bother me one bit and I do not feel that he was being rude, but just dealing with being alone.
  4. This past Saturday night there were only 4 RV's parked there counting us.
  5. I don't understand. There was already some street view of the Magic Kingdom. I even posted a screen capture once that just showed a foot with no body.
  6. looks like the rail road trestle that is on the north side of where Big Thunder Mountain is now located. Big Thunder Mountain did not open until 1980 so it would not have been there in 1972.
  7. If you get caught running late at night and do not mind boon docking in a rest area, the Stennis Space Center rest area at exit 2 in Mississippi has some really great turn outs for RV's to park at complete with a picnic table. They are located away from the commercial truck parking, though all the traffic exits past you to leave the rest area.
  8. This past Thursday, the 500 loop had a planned outage for cable service. They techs were hooking up equipment for the WiFi in the loop and were making the connections. They were not talkative about what they were doing. I did see that each box on top of the poles connects to the cable service at an adjoining site.
  9. This past week All the Streets of America were open. The Pizza Planet building was blocked off and the area where Mater and Lightening McQueen was blocked off.
  10. Since I knew it would probably be history the next time I make it to DHS....for posterity's sake: taken 2-12-2016 from the top of Lights, Motors, Action.
  11. Today the Visa character was Kylo Ren. Took 15 minutes. The regular meet and greet was 50 minutes.
  12. Depending on the time of day you are starting out and how well you travel...towing or not...frequent stops or not... 8 to 8 1/2 hours out is the Milton Gulf Pines KOA that is an easy over night spot. If you are starting out at Dallas, then the Lakeside RV Park at Livingston, LA is a good over night at about the 8th hour of driving. This might would require another stop before making it to the Fort though.
  13. That is what I have done with the past three trips. The last one we had a reservation for 3 weeks and after the first week went to the front and checked out two weeks early. There was no penalty. The only thing is my credit card was charged the full amount and then the remainder was refunded. This could affect any other purchases if you do not have enough balance on your card to cover the extra amount.
  14. You can bet that they are lease program carts from Columbia too.
  15. That is the key. It is just a tool. I carry one in my pocket as well and have since the 6th grade in school. I also got caught by the exposed pocket clip at the Magic Kingdom one day and the guard looked it over and said put it all the way into your pocket and don't pull it out in the park. I said "Yes Sir" and all was good.
  16. I can report that his hand has been repaired. I tried to get photo evidence but failed and got 4 pictures blocked by the window frame.
  17. I'm with Carol on this. My wish is that they never had to give another "Make a Wish" ever.
  18. Any Cajun cook would look at you like you lost your mind if you said SousVide. They wouldn't have a clue. But a Big Green Egg Chef, they would know all about it and how to reverse sear a steak to get the same result.
  19. SousVide beef may look completely rare, but in fact has been raised to an internal temperature of 145-150 degrees F. It is then seared quickly to add the color, but the meat is already cooked.
  20. Thanks for the education. Now I'm sad that I never saw it.
  21. So who is it, what show, and where for those of us without a clue.
  22. So this test is using an optical reader scanning a bar code, not NFC like the system at Disney World.
  23. I can tell you from first hand experience, that the Level Up six point hydraulic leveling system and a cordless 1/2 inch impact will allow you to change a tire and be back on the road in under 15 minutes.
