  1. Can't wait to hear about it! We go in June.
  2. I'm in! Hope you have a wonderful trip and will look forward to reading more!
  3. Our dog is similar, must be walked twice a day, every day so she'll poop. She also has a very sensitive stomach, no table food. If she ever does eat something she shouldn't she vomits. Then I do the chicken and rice routine for a couple of days to get her feeling better again. Hope she's doing better. This too, shall pass!
  4. La Cava is definitely going on my list of things to do this fall.
  5. Congratulations, he's so cute!! And the best part is, he must already be housebroken!
  6. Whether we are in a DVC villa or even a regular hotel room we always eat breakfast in the room. So if we have a kitchen it might be as involved as pancakes and bacon but if not, it's cereal and milk. We also pack our snacks like fruit and nuts and of course, water. Sometimes we pack lunch as well. We usually plan on eating out once a day. Although buffets give you a lot of food we haven't gone to one since my oldest hit the 9 year old mark. I could not stomach paying an adult price for a 9 year old girl to eat some Mac and cheese and dessert.
  7. I think it looks too wide open to be in the MK. Was there anything in the comments that gave more info? Unless maybe Big Thunder hadn't been built yet...i would have expected to see that in the background.
  8. Definitely the campfire and sing a long. We have such nice memories of doing that with our girls when they were little.
  9. Wow, those pictures are really shocking. I knew they would be clearing trees for the cabins but that seems like overkill. It's more like the No-Wilderness Lodge. The only plus for us is that the resale prices recently for VWL are very good (for the seller). We've contemplated selling and this would be a good time to do so just in case as it gets closer they may make those cabins separate and lock out the current VWL owners from the 11 month booking window. I have read those rumors in a few places. Very sad though to see it like that, it was always one of my favorite WDW spots.
  10. You have a good eye for your photographs. I know you may have answered this before but what kind of camera do you have? Is it a DSLR? I'm in the market for a new one but I need something simple, haha.
  11. When we bought ours we went through The Timeshare Store, DVC-resales.com. I just looked at their current listings and they've got Saratoga Springs ranging anywhere from $80 per point to $90 per point. The range is due to whether you're buying a stripped contract (current points already used), or loaded (likely banked points in there with current). As far as buying goes you let them know you're interested in a specific contract and just wait for them to get back to you with the owners acceptance then you pass papers, you just fax everything back and forth. If you are interested in something spe
  12. Yes, Rey could understand a lot. Plus, her technical skills and she got pretty good real fast with that light saber. I think Luke had begun training her as a child when she then had to go into hiding. But she had no idea at the time that she was being trained in the force. Maybe Luke didn't tell her anything to protect her. Or maybe her memory of that was erased somehow. I don't know, I've been spending way too much time thinking about this movie. I do want to see it again for the scene where she touches the light saber. Everything went way too fast for me. I also loved the line when C3pO says
  13. I loved when Chewie shot Ren after he saw Han die. And love that he teamed up with Rey. Maybe they'll be partners now.
  14. I think Han is gone for good. He didn't have the force so no chance of any Obi-wan or Yoda type appearances. And Harrison Ford wanted out in Return of the Jedi. I think Rey is Luke's daughter. I remember Ren saying that this was the girl he had heard so much about. I think Luke had put her into hiding before he had started training Ren. Then maybe he spoke of her to his nephew. Only trouble I have with that is that Jedi aren't supposed to have close relationships so I don't know how he would've produced her. I wondered if Finn could be Lando's son. All we know is that he was taken from his fam
  15. I loved it. As soon as the John Williams score came on I had chills. Twists I didn't see coming, it did not disappoint. Hoping to go again this week.
  16. So sorry to hear what you're going through but glad you found out what it was so it could be treated. Take care and feel better soon!
  17. Wow, what experiences your family is having! Great shots, can't believe you went on that gondola, you must not have a problem with heights. I was beginning to sweat just looking at it!
  18. You've included a lot of great details in your report that I'm going to take note of, especially the places to eat. I am looking at these pictures on my phone so it's hard to tell, but are the lights on Small World holiday lights? Or is it always lit up like that? It's beautiful!
  19. We're planning a trip currently and from what I've read, Parksavers.com is a reputable site to get discounted tickets. Maybe someone who has used them can chime in. Mouse savers recommends Ares for tickets.
  20. Great update and thanks for the info and pictures on the self parking at GC. We'll be using it on our trip but I'm pretty sure we won't have to pay as we'll be staying using our DVC points. I know you've done the drive from LAX to DL...how is it? I've heard about driving in LA and it scares me!
  21. Following along. Kassie is so cute, does she adjust well when traveling?
  22. Yay, a TCD Disneyland TR! Super excited because I just booked our trip to CA for June. Will be taking mental notes!
  23. Now that's funny. Inside Out reminded me of that attraction.
