Glad we have our own private cart now.  Hope they do not outlaw those in the future.

How much is that going to raise the price of a cart?

Oops,  Sorry, Zane.  I confused you with Starbuc71.  But I have considered redoing our GC for several years since a few things have rubbed paint off in our trailer.  I would also go the DIY route.

Be the biggest hit at the Fort. We are parting with a member of our family...Herbie. We had him for 7 years now. A lot of hard work and dollars went into building him. Unfortunately our kids are starting to outgrow the custom seat we built on the back. Before I tear him down and rebuild him with a full size back seat, I want to shop him to see if anyone would be interested. I am buying new batteries this Saturday since we have a week fort trip coming up in 2 weeks. PM me if anyone is interested

Make sure it has relatively new batteries.  That is the biggest maintenance expense on an electric cart.

    New batteries!

We got electric because some places don't allow gas.

The ribbed siding is actually lighter in weight and also easier to repair if needed, not mention less costly.

I have had fleet wood , forest river, and K-Z. I say it's a crap shoot. They all have a problem at some time.

Unfortunately, build quality appears to be luck of the draw with most manufacturers. There isn't a brand that I haven't seen a horror story or two - everything from entry level campers to moderately priced ones to the pretty expensive $100k DRVs.

For me, it's more about looking at the manufacturer's track record in service and warranty support. If you can also luck into a good dealer, then all the better.

8" and 12". I got the globes from a lighting store and they told me to use the 8" instead of the 6" and I'm glad I did.

I went with the 8" ears on a 12" center globe, just because I thought it looked better.

Here's some blurry pictures from our last trip at the fort:

Mine is also setup where I can use three lights, one in each globe. Let me know if you have any questions.

Why don't you just cut new foam to fit and throw away the old foam. If the memory foam is an inch, buy two inch regular or high density foam to use as a base and put the memory foam on top. Should make comfortable seating and a good mattress for sleeping. Joann's sells all the base foam.

Do you have a power jack on the tongue of the TT? I know I would like that as a gift.
