It's a spa. Thats where the indoor/outdoor pool is, the poolside Kungaloosh bar, flamingo shaped hot tub, 5 star hot dog restaurant, all you can eat chili bar, and microbrewery. My drawing is not to scale. The spa is really much larger than I made it look, but otherwise the drawing is pretty accurate. I was pretty proud of it.

I believe the proper spelling is Typhone Lagone, according to the ultimate Disney expert.

Those pipes look like barriers to keep canoes/kayaks from the Fort away from the Disney elite who will be paying big bucks to enjoy the wilderness Disney offers those who can pay. Not a very effective barrier, since a simple portage will put you on the other side. Merely an annoyance. I am thinking after the hotel is open I may be able to entertain guests with a little nekked alligator wrasslin in that thar pond they be buildin.

Flying the flag at half staff is a real pet peeve of mine. In most cases, it is done in violation of the US Flag code, as was the case here. For reference:
FLYING THE FLAG AT HALF-STAFF: The pertinent section of the Flag Code says, "by order of the President, the flag shall be flown at half-staff upon the death of principal figures of the United States Government and the Governor of a State, territory, or possesion, as a mark of respect to their memory. In the event of the death of other officials or foreign dignitaries, the flag is to be displayed at half-staff according to Presidential orders, or in accordance with recognized customs or practices not inconsistent with law.
In the event of the death a present or former official of the government of any State, territory, or possession of the United States, the Governor of that state, territory, or possession may proclaim that the National flag shall be flown at half-staff." The code also includes other related details including the specific length of time during which the flag should be displayed at half-staff, in the event of the death of a "principal figure"(e.g., 30 days for the death of a sitting or former President, 10 days for the death of a sitting Vice-President,etc.).
GOOD-FAITH MISUNDERSTANDINGS: Although the code is actually pretty clear, confusion continues to occur. For example, U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno recently ordered the American Flag flown at half-staff on all U.S. Department of Justice buildings, in honor of several DEA agents who had died. While NFF understands this gesture, the Flag Code does not give Attorney General Reno the authority to issue that order. Closer to NFF's Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania home, Mayor Tom Murphy ordered all flags flown at half-staff to honor the victims of a plane crash. Here again, a well-intentioned gesture, but one for which no authority exists. NFF points out these "good-faith misunderstandings" not to criticize or embarrass anyone, but rather to head off a growing trivialization of this memorial salute, and to preserve the dignity and significance of flying the U.S. flag at half-staff. To any readers who may think that NFF is insensitive for raising these breaches of etiquette, please be assured that our motives are pure. We grieve these human loses deeply; however, we believe proper respect for our flag must be maintained - no matter the circumstances.

I like how there's a special rate for the Democratic Convention:

The Republican Convention is in Tampa in August. There was an article in our local paper not too long ago about how some state delegates were complaining about their hotel assignments.
At least they weren't assigned to a campground.
So, what is the Wilderness Lodge? I am guessing a big cabin? Sounds like it could be fun.

My next visit I am taking a bunch of balloons with me to put up at various locations. Please submit your suggestions. Offhand, I'm thinking the middle of Bay Lake, Disney's waste water treatment facility, and maybe a mobile one on the back of a water mouse.

Ed, I would love for you to explain to me how Disney could create an online reservation system without any server side code... There most certainly are times when a simple web page just won't cut it, and this is one of them.
I admire your tenacity, but I think that the web world has changed much more than you know since you last dipped your toes in the pool.

The last time I was at Disney, it seemed that the largest group being discriminated against was the Terminally Stupid. Disney does not do nearly enough to make all attractions accessible to them. I don't know how they possibly navigate the web site, and transportation is impossible for them to utilize. Please consider the Terminally Stupid on your next Disney visit. Take a moment to help them find the restroom they are standing right next to, make sure they know when the 3 o'clock parade is, and aim them toward the entrance to an attraction rather than the exit.

I just have a couple things to say about the sing a long song DVD. I seriously doubt the cover photo was taken at FW. Looks like a set at a bad high school play. Gotta love the bowl haircut on the kid with the yellow jacket. I hope the girl isn't gonna rely on that crappy plastic canteen for survival. Looks like she made a trip to Dollar Tree for that piece of equipment. That tent. Come on. There is no way those kids are gonna fit in that with Goofy and Mickey and their gigantic heads. Not to mention it looks like it isn't going to survive the night anyway. Who the heck put that thing up, anyway? Oh wait a minute - it must have been Goofy for one of his many instructional films. Mickey obviously has no eye for safety as he has the Coleman lantern dangerously close to that pitiful tent. Not exactly certain why he needs the lantern anyway since it looks like nightfall isn't coming for a few hours anyway. Of course, he may be doing everybody a favor by burning that fire trap down. Gotta love the mouse's outfit, though. I'm heading out to the geek store tomorrow and see if I can pick up a similar one. And I'll see if they have a stylish plaid vest for FWGirl while I'm there.

I heard from a very reliable source (my neighbor's cousin's uncle who used to go out with somebody who did the nails of the wife of a friend of a Disney custodial worker) that Disney is buying huge amounts of land in central Arkansas for a new theme park! It will be based entirely on the history of moonshine in rural America to include the links to NASCAR! OMG!

Bipolar is a little different.  They have to have a psychotic episode before they can really start to be diagnosed, but the trick is limiting it to just the one.  Every episode they have sets them back a little bit.  Left untreated with multiple episodes, they will never function normally.

Then add the wright if the neighbors dog and multiply by .0765485433784 with a coding of 3. The math will show her that she is over going it with the 2500 truck and she should just get a Yugo or Chevette with a good weight distributing and sway control hitch'

As far as the Kennel (there is only one on property now, the Best Friends kennel which is right around the corner from FW on Bonnet Creek Parkway), they can accomodate large dogs.  It is a bit pricey, not so much if you are just interested in basic accomodations for a day guest, but size is no option for them.

I saw a piece in the latest Trailer Life about this company.  Their link was incorrect, but I have located the correct one.  I can't believe that with all of the physically disabled people who like to camp there are, a company hasn't tapped into this market yet.  Here you go, kids:
