  1. On our last trip we tried the Polite Pig. I had low expectations but it was really good. I do like Delux burger too. DS has too many places now. I want to try them all, but don't have time.
  2. Sounds like my pre Fort spending. I put new tires and repacked my bearings on the camper....$800. Then I discovered my golf cart batteries were bad....$770. Then I decided to put the new batteries in my Yamaha cart which needs a backseat....$270. All before we leave for the Fort. I hope everything goes well for y'all now
  3. Glad you guys got it sorted out. I know how stressful it is to have trouble on a drive down and have a trip cancelled.
  4. I agree. The purple route would cost way more especially if wetlands are in there. They could branch off and make a separate road near the north end of the former STOL port that would tie into the existing route marked in yellow.
  5. Yeah, 1 less toll booth, and I think it is quicker too. We don't use Ficquette or Reams. That would only be if you wanted to come by the Contemporary and under the water bridge. Just stay on Winter Garden Vineland and enter Disney property by the construction services buildings. It is a nice 4 lane road...no construction that I know about.
  6. We take 429 to winter garden Vineland rd every time.
  7. 350 or 450....both trucks are highly capable and overkill for all but the biggest trailers. Congrats on the new truck. The hardest part is not telling everyone you meet how well it pulls.
  8. I agree. This design appears to suck. The original design was awesome.
  9. Brady, You sure know your way around an egg. Those vittles you cooked up in Defeated Creek were on point.
  10. Saw it on FB yesterday. They said it was a rental. I'm curious if gas or electric.
  11. BTW, I like the name Discovery Lodge. It is a nod to the adjacent island. But I think they can do better, and the other names mentioned are just downright horrible.
  12. I have seen this type of thing happen first hand. This is why you never let someone ride in the trailer. Also this a good argument for always having too much truck.
  13. Great pics. I am jonesing. Thanksgiving needs to hurry up.
  14. Same here. The kids all have smaller vacuum insulated bottles that we carry, and I have a large one that I will fill halfway with ice then add 4 propel packets and water. It is heavy, but worth it. Staying hydrated makes the day a lot more enjoyable. I am used to the heat, but I need my water. Now that the kids are older this next trip they are each going to have their own backpacks with water, snacks, an umbrella, and any other accessory. I am tired of being the Disney Sherpa.
  15. I researched this in depth before we bought back in 2010. I like wood for its better insulation, and you don't have to worry about the tack welds breaking. Spacecraft still uses wood for their high end trailers with the polar package. Fiberglass over wood is as good as anything if it is laminated correctly. Fiberglass should have a better resell value too and easier is to maintain. Aluminum is easier to repair and no chance of delam. Knock on wood...we have not had a single problem with our wood framed fiberglass 5'er.
  16. I've seen those. Works through induction. I need to pick one up.
  17. The article I read today said it was dead along with no performers for Rivers of Light. They cited low attendance as the reason. Where is this low attendance? The few times that I have been this year it has been very crowded.
