  1. I'm pretty sure I saw some there in October. But to be on the safe side, the Contemporary toy shop had a decent selection.
  2. These should work great in the Stone Wave I got from Dollar Tree.
  3. From what I've read in past blogs, no you can't use your own. Their network and modems are set up to see each other and will block other modems.
  4. Armadillos are the only animal other than a human that can catch/have leprosy.
  5. It's amazing that they had reservations for this Saturday, but I've been trying for 4 weekdays in early March and got nothing. This is before most schools are on spring break so you would think it would be easier.
  6. No guarantees that they will be available. Best bet is as soon as you arrive head over to the meadow trading post and attempt to get one. Do it before you set up.
  7. Tried 4 of the days in March that we will be in Orlando, nothing available.
  8. That's because it's not magical if you tell someone NO, and make them follow the rules. But what doesn't make sense to me it they let one jackwad do as they please and let 20 other people be inconvenienced by him/her.
  9. At one point in time (I think) they used to have designated pet loops. You could camp in them without pets but you were warned that you would be in with a bunch of Fidos and Rovers. But if you had a pet you couldn't camp in a non pet loop. Somehow these rules got blurry/bent and now anything goes. I don't mind pets, had many myself over the years, but I don't want to listen to your dog bark all day long while you are at the parks, just like I don't want to hear a crying baby in a movie theater.
  10. One of those "other camping" FB pages posted a video yesterday of a CM in waders pushing a boatload of people backwards to a platform where another agent helped them off the boat and out an access door. Looks like it was being filmed from another stuck boat waiting their turn to be pushed back.
  11. Great pictures! Question, did you almost get catapulted out of your seats when the train made it's initial stop along the platform, before it drops and goes around the corner to see your girlfriend? My granddaughter and I rode it about 5 minutes after it had been downed for a problem. Ride was great except for the ending. I had indentations in my gut for a day after that stop.
  12. Are you looking for specific types, full, premium, partial, etc.? Are you just trying for a weekend (next to impossible)? Open up your search to include 30 days covering the dates you want and see if you get it. Book it, pay your 1 day deposit, then a few days later call and cancel the days you don't want. If that doesn't work, let Jason try to get you your dates. He's amazing and it doesn't cost you any extra.
  13. I was hoping to go to DHS during my granddaughters Spring Break and see the difference, but I just my itinerary from my daughter.... AK on day 1 and EPCOT on day 2 to look at purty flowers.
  14. #4 All sites have cable TV connections that double as wired internet. You go to the meadow trading post and sign out a cable modem if they are available. It comes in a bag with cables, instructions on how to hook it up to a pc and TV, and a parts list. If you want Wi-Fi you need to provide your own wireless router/switch. You usually can't use the one that your internet provider gives you more than likely since it's probably a cable modem already. Look for an inexpensive Wi-Fi router/switch on craigslist, pawn shop, etc. Then you hook that to the Disney cable modem and you are all set t
  15. If I comprehended the article properly, Iger goofed big time going into China. Mickey may be know worldwide, but isn't necessarily embraced worldwide. Not in China. Not in a country where Mickey, Minne and the rest of the gang are barely known. In a country where Disney might as well be Smith or Jones or Johnson. Well, maybe not that last one as Johnson & Johnson is actually a reasonably well-known brand throughout China. The Walt Disney Company has a history of stumbling if not outright tumbling in its efforts to export Disney's brand of Americana. For reference, look no further than
  16. Nostalgia can be a powerful tool. Look at all the items that are being revived from our childhoods at modern day prices. Or look at the originals that are going for astronomical prices. Have you priced a 70's Muscle Car lately? Nostalgia can also backfire. People remember the good old days and the good old prices, and balk at what the same (or nearly the same) item costs now. I think the biggest problem for us older generation that have been visiting Disney for years, is that our income has not kept up with any of the theme park (not just Disney) prices, so we feel like we are gettin
  17. We just got passes after a 5 year hiatus. During that time we have stayed at the Fort numerous times without visiting any of the parks. I think most of the things to do have been covered but I don't remember seeing Animal Kingdom Lodge mentioned. They have tons of activities (free) for kids to do including rubbings in the lobby off of these giant brass disks, cookie decorating, animal watching, face painting, and our grandkids favorite a craft/play room where they have a lot of free crafts and some they charge for. It also has kid appropriate Disney movies playing non stop and various v
  18. If that is going to be opened to the public? I see that grass being replaced at least once a week, and during the summer rainy season daily once the fireworks crowds are done trampling it nightly.
  19. Welcome! How about skates instead of bikes? Or razor type scooters? How many bikes and are you towing anything? Can you rack the bikes? You can find inexpensive racks on Craigslist.
  20. From what I've seen, construction is going to be from around WDW eastbound towards downtown Orlando and maybe a little further. They just announced the possibility of doing the same thing here in Tampa, and where they want to put it has been under construction for the last 3 years and isn't even done yet.
  21. This is going to add toll lanes to I-4 and the state won't even be getting the $$.
