  1. LegoLand base may be that price, but they have various specials, buy adult get kid free, less with Pepsi, etc. plus an annual pass at LegoLand with the water park is about $129 I think... But that may be just for Floridians. Just to show how prices in Fl are skewed, 2 years ago we were able to by a 2 year platinum pass for all of the various Seaworld/Busch parks for around $225. We had to purchase it at the San Antonio Seaworld, but we were in TX for my granddaughters birthday anyway. The same ticket for 1 year, purchased in Fl would've been close to $300. Guess it's just because there is so
  2. Looking at their job postings, it doesn't seem like the extra $$$ will be going to wages. They are only paying chef assistants with experience a $12-13 starting salary. Housekeepers are less than $9. I think part time bus drivers were $11 something.
  3. Hey Lou. Tell us some more of the secret phrases, so when we have a complaint we can fire back the same buzz words to them! Like "My experience wasn't Magical!"
  4. Tampa has been beautiful all day, and I haven't heard of any problems from my daughter who lives in Orlando.
  5. When we got back to the loop and were building our fire, there was A LOT of commotion on our loop. The Boy Scouts had arrived!!!! Except, they were screeching and screaming in such a way that I thought they were Girl Scouts at the time. And I mean SCREAMING. LOUD. And it was 11:30 PM. What the Fort? And how rude! Usually Z would be sleeping at this time, and after making more mud pies, we were trying to get him in bed. But these Boy Scouts were running all through the woods. It seemed like there might be 100 of them. I thought it was a huge group of little girls with maybe a couple of moms. I
  6. Also, don't miss the tidbit about how the thousands of bats they initially tried to move into the bat house left and established residence elsewhere. Wouldn't that be a hoot at the Fort to have thousands of bats looking for a place to crash? Maybe under your awning? ================================ My brother in law last spring opened up his patio umbrella for the first time since fall and promptly have a family of bats come flying out at his face. Every time after that he smacks it a few times while it's closed to alert visitors to leave before he opens it. Bat houses have their place, but
  7. If you want to get a higher view count, include more shots of the lovely Mrs Troll in the pictures. She classes them up. She's an all American tourist. Dressed appropriately and sensibly at all times. She's the type the Walt envisioned enjoying his creations. Plus throw in some pictures of inflatables and you'll get a lot of bonus views!
  8. I saw a manual from the 80's for a similar Coleman model. That one had more of an arched awning over the doorway. Guess they continued it when Fleetwood bought them out. How about one of these? Check sylvansport.com
  9. Double Strollers are the work of the devil... especially the ginormous and dreaded DOUBLE JOGGING STROLLER, being pushed by someone that looks like they would drop dead jogging for more than 20 feet. The dated merchandise probably ends up going to the outlet stores over on Vineland. But if they were smart, they would just order 2015 shirts and redress the Mickey's, then they could sell the 2014 shirts as collectables! The boxed candy makers finally got smart a few years back and now print the holiday greetings on a plastic band that the store can slip off after the holiday and keep selli
  10. There are two Discovery Cove packages. One is swim with the Dolphins which is the pricier one. The other is less expensive but you don't get in with the dolphins. The dolphin portion is about a 1/2 hour or so in with them, then the rest of the day you are doing whatever the rest of the people are doing. Both give you breakfast and lunch buffets, along with snacks and drinks the rest of the day, and yes it includes adult beverages (have a designated driver). We did the non dolphin option and had a blast even though it was a cool rainy day. You still get to swim and dive with reef fish and
  11. Thanks I'll have to look at that further. Both of my pieces are cracked, so if I read it correctly it'll be close to $200 plus shipping. Their shipping is less than another site I found. Only thing, the one site said you needed a solid base around the edges to support and glue the cap on. Not sure if mine will have enough to support it.
  12. Great place to ride bikes. Very little traffic. Won't get much strenuous exercise since its 99% paved and flat, but it's still a lot of fun. I guess if you go fast enough or far enough you might burn off a few desert calories. If you do the path between the Fort and the lodge in the morning or just before dusk you'll probably see quite a few deer. You can try to ride along the canal also if you have treaded tires. If you want to get adventuresome, you can bike out of the Fort and go visit some of the other resorts. There are a few back roads, just watch out for the busses. I rode
  13. My 4 (almost 5) year old GD hasn't stopped singing the Frozen songs since before Thanksgiving. She belts them out complete with arms flying and tons of emotion. It opens Friday down here in Tampa, and looks like it's running at least until 2/6.... that's as far out that Fandango shows tickets for now. It looks like most of the sing alongs are early shows. I think it'll be a hoot with all of the kids singing and playacting... sort of like a kids version of Rocky Horror. I wonder if they will allow parents to take pictures of all the kids singing? If you've never seen the movie this mi

  15. I've always liked Chrysler products. I had a Roadrunner in HS. Worked at the Plymouth dealer when I graduated. Really liked my truck when I got it, but the broken dash really soured me on Chrysler products now. I've never been a Chevy or a Ford fan, so my options are getting narrowed down when it's time for a new truck.... which I was hoping wouldn't be for a long long time.
  16. Fort Desoto over in St Pete. Some are on the water. It's not the ocean per say, but it's beachy and salt water. You can do on line reservations and they have site maps.
  17. Two Tampa TV stations have contests for 500 tickets. 18. That was supposed to be a smiley at the end, somehow that odd one got in there. It doesn't bother me. That interior is a lot different than the 2002. Is yours a 4 door? I wouldn't like the center console in just a 2 door, that would cut you down to 2 passengers.
  19. Seaworld has had them for a few years... my granddaughters had them this past Monday Monday. Not sure about Busch Gardens. Florida State Fair was the first place I remember seeing them... that was ages ago. And you know what, they have never gone down in price even after becoming more widespread.
  20. Thanks for the insight and the advice. I was always a foreign car guy, they had better quality then American ( this is going back when I first started driving in 1970). My only exception back then was a 1970 Road Runner that I bought used my senior year of HS in 1972. I always thought American trucks were superior to their cars and to foreign trucks. I had a couple of Jeep CJ 5's that would keep on going no matter what you threw at them. As I got older I did have an American car or 2. We currently have the Ram and a 2000 Durango (that's another story). I really expected this Ram to
  21. From what I have read, it's only the first year, the 2002's that have the problem. I've read numerous threads on different forums and they all say the same thing, Dodge won't admit they screwed up in the plastic formula and the lack of braces/support for the dash. Both pieces of mine are broken, the dash part itself, and the filler panel between the dash and the windshield. It's not the sun, or weather that have done them in, people have had them garage kept, in different parts of the country, etc. Mine started breaking about 3 years ago and has gotten progressively worse. Some have
  22. Has anyone posted about this yet or have seen it? http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3218169&highlight=campsites I'm at work, so I can't see much of what's posted on it.
  23. Wasn't sure where to post this so it ended up in general. Anyone have a Dodge Ram tow vehicle with the dash falling apart? If so, did Dodge do anything for you, or how did you go about fixing it? I have a 2002, the first year they switched over to the "newer" style. My dash is falling apart. Seems like it was an issue with just this year, and of course Dodge is saying "Not our problem". It's not a sunlight issue, or a Florida issue. It's all over the country, outside parking and garage kept. My truck still runs decent, but once the dash implodes I don't know how I'll be able to k
