The remaining 28 cabins have been retained by Disney for use in the upcoming River Country DVC project.  They are stacking them into two 14 story towers on the shores of Bay Lake.  Imagine the views from those decks!

Have you stopped to consider the possibility that the poor 23 year old WDW Purchasing Clerk who placed the last order for 250,000 refillable mugs accidentally forgot to check the "Handle" box on the order form? 

I may be wrong, but if you can rent the beach for a private party, you should be able to rent a private campfire with chipmunks if you have enough money.

i wonder if it's only a matter of time before every waterway, creek or drainage has some sort of fence around it.  If that's the case, the 1900 loop would look like a line for the jungle boat cruise..lol

The Fort cabins are just gussied up park model "trailers", which are basically campers that don't get moved a lot.
Most people buy them to be dropped in 1 RV park and they stay there forever.
You can see similar types at the Themeworld RV park at the Highway 27 exit.
 

The kid/now adult that got attacked at the Fort contacted the media about his encounter.
I don't think he was trying to do it to get fame, just trying to let people know there was a previous attack back in 86 and to set the record straight that this was not the first gator attack at WDW.
The media didn't do their homework in a rush to get this story out.

Crap.  If the entrance to my mine is discovered, I will have to take drastic measures.  I have notified my head of security and his six coworkers to keep an eye out for interlopers.

DVC at Wilderness Lodge. They'll get more per night and can play on people nostalgia.

hummmmmm, why not have the fireworks over at EPCOT and show the starwars in the Capt Eo theater? It could even be a specal ticket even for the theater. And it wold bring crowds over to a park they would not likely go to. And each of the countries could have a special Starwars theamed drink. Mission: Space could get a cheap overlay to help get people in to the ride.....Spaceship Earth could get the super lazer/planet destroyer wepon added on the the side for cheap.
 
Then the Starwars geeks would be going to both EPCOT and HS. so eather get a pass with an extra day or the park hopper add on.

humm, the Friendship boats could be made to look like the Khetanna (sand ship from Jaba the hut).

so....basically a Livin' Lite that will undoubtedly have a few extra thousand dollars tacked on to it.  The fanboys will definitely be all over them :).

It's great they have such a good time and enjoy family.
 
But the setup seems excessive to me and I'm surprised the Fort allows it.  
 
On the other hand after all these years why haven't they made a kitchen/cooking trailer yet?  And bought a camper?

I'm not primarily knocking the dishwasher guys.  It's the selective enforcement, once again, that bothers me.  I don't know how many times over the years I've read of folks in popups that have to take their grey water to an unoccupied site with sewer or lug it to a comfort station to dispose of it.  Why doesn't Fort management simply advise them to dig a hole behind their site and dump it in?  They obviously don't have a problem with it.  
 
And furthermore, the typical popup camper generates little grey water, with basic dish soap and some food scraps.  An electric household dishwasher using a standard automatic dishwasher detergent such as Cascade dump many gallons of waste water per cycle including hazardous materials such as Sodium Hypochlorite, which is extremely toxic to aquatic environments (such as canals...).  So....I really don't understand why the Fort allows this year after year.  But I guarantee if I have one wheel of my vehicle off the concrete pad I'd get a nasty gram because I'm destroying the precious Fort environment.  

as a pop up owner, I wouldn't mind having more areas for us only....

I think the first story is the most credible.
 
See if 7 weeks worth of park goers like the show, and if so it's $equel time!
 
Not sure if Midler, Parker and Najimy have any ties to Disney/ABC that would give them enough clout to get it pushed thru.

I vacation so I do not have to plan.  Guess I'm part of a dying breed.
