We had AP & DVC registration this past Tuesday.  I'm in for the Dark Side Challange, kids are in for their races and got hubs signed up for the Half.  The challenge and kids races were gone in a couple minutes the half is still available.  It looks like the hard core fans are going big with the challenge. I'm surprised the half is still available this far after registration, it will we interesting to see what happens Tuesday!

I just booked the first week in May to take the kids down for the first leg of Dads deployment.  I can't participate in the festivities but would love to drop by to say "hello"  to everyone.  Its been far to long since I've seen some of you and need to finally meet the other gals. 

We have a plethora of allergies in our family and fell in love with Disney this year because of how accommodating they are for food allergies.  I have cried watching my daughter eat a dessert at Chef Mickeys because of how normal they made us feel.  This is the only kiosk for allergies as of right now.  They have allergy friendly treats through out all the parks and resorts.  Most of the restaurants can accommodate any allergy issue.  If anyone has any questions, feel free to message me and I'd be glad to help.  You can also contact Special Diets,  [email protected]

I love my cap, its not difficult to remove if you have a two people.  We got ours off craigslist for $100 bucks, its black but blends well enough for our silver paint job.  

My kids can't read so no good for us, they know all the words anyhow. Just today the 2 year old was pulling on the vacuum cord and I told her to "let it go", well she did and broke out in full song.  Great idea for the lyrics on screen most of the audience was singing along at our last show.

He made it about 3pm!  We just got back from the park and the little one and I were still sitting in the cart.  Our site backs up to the road and I saw him walking on the road.  I was able to get Kellens attention who was halfway between us and asked if she was ready for her Christmas surprise.  Her eyes got wide and I told her to turn around, Daddy was about ten feet from her by this point.  She started crying and ran straight to his arms.  The single best moment of my life after their births......I broke down, I didn't expect her to cry.  The little one was a little confused by everything but soon gave him a big hug.  THanks everyone for your amazing support!  I'll post a picture soon!

Kelly, you and your girls were one of the highlights of my vacation. Can't wait to see you again!

I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend Halloween ! The fiends have made this such a special time for us! The girls are going to have such high expectations for all our future trips....

We are having a Grand Gathering at my site on Sat Nov 2nd, you are invited to join in. We do a pot luck, everyone brings something and there are usually a lot of fiends there. I am hoping to be in the 1300 loop, but listen for the loud New Yorker, you should be able to hear me all over the Fort, that's what everyone tells me

We made it back home!!! Seriously the best trip ever!  I feel great and everything went smoothly.  I have some pictures for my first trip report that I'll post once the mini monsters pass out.  Thanks to all of you for giving me the advice and support to accomplish everything!  I am so blessed to have stumbled upon such a remarkable group of people!  I try to learn a new skill every time my husband deploys, he was giving me a hard time over Skype this evening because it only took me a month into this deployment to conquer this one!  I'l just have to fine tune it by taking multiple trips between now and the time he gets back!  Practice makes perfect!!!!  

Nope, you reminded me and I added it!  You have to drive a vehicle to the beach, its all main roads mostly at 55 mph.  20 minutes tops to the free parking at Cherry Grove which is in the North Myrtle area.

This is the only place I can share my accomplishment, most of my family and friends think I'm crazy for trying to do this solo.  So here's the background, my husband is deployed and I have decided to take our two girls on a few RV trips in our TT while he is gone.  I have never towed anything but figured it was time to learn and preceded to book two trips to the Fort.   We love the Fort so that was a good motivator for me.  Well I've had our TT out in the drive for the past 3 weeks learning as much as I can about it and how to tow it.  I moved it 6 ft over on our drive last week but today I took it out on the open road!  I stuck to back roads and our neighborhood for a 30 minute drive.  I chickened out on backing it into our drive, I tried, but was too stressed without any back up help so I pulled it around on the side of the house so I can just pull thru next time.  I'm nervous about backing in by myself anywhere and have yet to find a parking lot to practice my "skills".  Im thinking we'll try for a local campsite in the next few weeks to get some more practice on before we head to the Fort.

Did it feel strange being on top of those bridges? Did you have the urge to hang out under them awhile :rofl3:

It depends, one year it snowed on Christmas day!  Not usually the case but it is usually chilly, 50's during the day.  I live about 2 hours from MB and my grandparents retired there for 10 years.  There is always stuff to do and I enjoy the slower pace.

Our military passes have blackout dates too, which sucks because we only usually get holidays and the pre-deployment time that they try to get scheduled during a holiday so they don't have to give us anything extra.  I've been checking out passes and such to see what the best configuration is going to be, its like taking Algebra all over again!

I kind of got that vibe from a few Wilderness guests we shared some chats with on the bus.  It was kind of like, "Oh, you're at the campsite, hows THAT?"   I got annoyed with this one gal and went into how I never have to worry about bedbugs because we have our beds with us.

My DW won't let me get camping dates...unless it's her, of course. :rofl2:
