  2. OK, the TCD twins did find the time to text some photos to the old man, but I was too busy over the weekend to post them. Here's a photo of twin #2 on Dumbo #2. You can see Dumbo #1 flying in the background: And here's a couple of Fastpasses from Day 1: I have more photos that I might be able to share. That is in negotiations at the moment. TCD

  3. No problem knocking on our door, if the GC and truck are there we usually are too. And remember if the MH is rockin "RUN LIKE HELL" we're having an earthquake. :rofl3:

  4. That's a great idea. Security will give every freeloader a free cool looking Disney collar necklace and when they try to get in through the invisible gate, ZAP. Hey, it works with Fido.

  5. I welcome drop in visitors with one exception. If my Snarky spankula is hanging from my crockpot, that's means INC and I need some privacy. Like the old saying goes, "If the spankula's crock'n, don't come a knock'n."

  6. Walt Disney World Resort Cable Channel Lineup as posted on Fort Fiends.net UPDATED 11/6/14 Since November, 2012, only Digital TV's can receive the Fort's cable signal. Older TV's require a converter box, which can be obtained from the Meadow Trading Post. There is no charge for this. You must present your KTTW card (received at check in) and fill out a form promising to return the box and agreeing to a $125 charge if you fail to do so. The TV Channel line-up has completely changed, and the numbers are different from all other WDW resorts. Here is the current listing, which is provided with the

  7. Back to the subject at hand at other campgrounds and non fiends... As you know, I have a stranger magnet camper. I am most definitely used to folks wandering by and saying "love your camper!" I then invite them in to take a tour!!! We also have folks approach us at gas stations, rest stops, and restaurant parking lots! The only thing that aggravates me slightly is folks will wander by all weekend not saying a word, then when I'm breaking down, all of a sudden decide they MUST see that cute little camper!! I'm usually hot, sweaty, and still in my jammies, and not really up to company. We ha

  8. I catch an extremist lime green freak taking picks of my younglings and we are gonna go a few rounds.......I'm not too proud to admit it either. :kickinass: Afterwards I will celebrate by parading my FF sign around on a golf cart and stopping to hand out FF cards to any current Vold-anian/normal human being that has the sense to not sneak around taking pics of kids ; generally acting like a pedophile. Damn, I never knew about this before now, but I guarantee Pam handled it in a much more adult manner than I would have......so I guess good for her. Apparently it was an isolated incident so h

  9. I think that's it in a nutshell! Funny thing is that the one stalker type, aside from getting a sound and well-deserved tongue-lashing from Pam, amounted to oh..... nuthin. A brief ripple in the cosmos, long forgotten and ultimately no harm done. On the flip side, the result of the 30-something Fiend signs up at the Fort that Halloween, and the F-R-I-E-N-D-L-Y greetings that anyone who asked about them got was... a BUNCH of new Fiends! We don't discriminate or delineate... part of the big flush flushed since the big flush found us on purpose found us by accident ...a Fiend is

  11. If we're outside or if the curtain is open and the Mickey light is lit in the window, STOP. There will be sump'n for ya! My daughter ask what the FF sign was and I told her it was code for free drinks.... :doublebeer: :wine:

  12. What I don't understand is why someone would take the time to say "I'm a fiend" by putting out a sign and then be upset when someone wanted to visit with them. That's the point, isn't it? Stop by and visit us anytime. Just beware... we sometimes like to move our sign around to other sites in the loop. Fiends are like a box of chocolates... you never know what you're gonna get! :rofl2:

  13. It all depends on how well I know the Fiend. If it's Bob, I'm knocking if the GC and truck are there. He can tell me to go away if it's not a good time. If it's someone I don't know, I'll stop if I see them outside. If no one is outside and I'm delivering a spike, I'll knock before leaving it and a card.

    Apple Pie Moonshine

They buy a package of Skittles, then put all the pieces of the same color in a mason jar of vodka. He came to the social hours with 4 or 5 different colors and shared them with anyone that wanted some.

  15. I am the opposite of Carol. If we're home, we're out in the screened room and everyone is welcome to stop by (weirdo's especially Mo, they're the most exciting visitors) If we are home, but not outside, we're inside....but not sleeping, so come back later.

  16. I figured if the spankula is MIA outside then it has been taken inside .... and that would be my cue to stay away. ;D

  17. I'm always happy to have pals stop by. This weekend a couple people got lucky and visited just in time for Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. You just never know! Although, I agree with others -- night time when we're all in the camper is usually not the best. Usually b/c I'm already in my Jedi nightshirt and I wouldn't wanna intimidate anyone.

  24. You got that right Aaron. I didn't fall for the "this is not a TR" title anyway. Other's have tried to trick me into reading TRs, but I didn't just fall off the turnip truck.

  25. No, they can't be doing it now. RFID systems have a finite range. Every RFID system currently being used at WDW or that may be used in the near future are short range systems. The systems being used or tested now are detecting RFID tags that are just a few inches away at best. The long range systems need readers and RFID tags that will work feet or even yards away instead of contact or inches away. But as I said, no big deal. It's already out there. As for the metal cases, they may just be a preemptive thing. I could be wrong, but I'm not aware of long range systems for CC in use. Also, all RF

  26. RFID will rule the world, WDW. I've posted before that RFID is nothing new at WDW. It's been used in CM ID cards for a couple of years. Every single piece of CM costumes you see has a RFID tag embedded in it, and backstage gates have the readers. KTTW, tickets, Fastpasses, soft drink cups and mugs, and merchandise are just some of the things using RFID. If they wanted to extend its use, they could just give you a RFID badge to wear and then they could track you whenever you got on or in an attraction, purchased something, entered or exited your room, used WDW transportation, etc. Kinda scary i
