Only on FF.net does a thread about Disney ticket prices morph into a thread about liquor prices.  :D

In general nowadays people demand everything to be perfect in their day to day lives, and they don't want to be bothered with details, excuses or logical explanations as to why something didn't go their way

Disney Magic hype, their print/TV advertising and mailers, and promises, just make it worse once people drive under those welcoming arches.

They were promised Disney Magic, and damn it, they are going to get it no matter how many other people they have to screw over or how many crying kids they have to drag thru the parks!

    Not sure but probably years.

If he grabs his swim trunks and decides to take a dip my suggestion is you call 911. Heck even if he doesn't I'd call 911 as there is just something wrong with calling 15 degrees warm.  :rotfl5:

That reminded me of what happened this last summer. DW, DD, and I went into cosmic rays and I waited in line to order and DW and DD went to find us a table. When I finally got lunch I saw them Just standing there. They told me the CM wouldn't allow them to sit at a tableBecause they had no food and were told that they couldn't save a table. Of course there were no tables available. I asked the CM if they were allowed to save a table we wouldn't be standing here now letting our food get cold. She just looked at me. Luckily a small family had a big table an invited us to sit with them.
I watched lots of families just standing there with trays of food getting cold. And nothing is worse than cold French fries.
This last Christmas I noticed at cosmic rays that there were CM outside the doors only letting a few people at a time go in to even order food. And there must have been at least 100 people outside waiting to get in. And that doesn't include all the people that were inside already waiting to order.
I know the CMs are just doing their job and it's not their fault. It's managements fault for letting so many people into the park.

Resurrecting this thread from the grave as I have seen a lot of relevant posts lately about rude campers.

TN22 and I grew up camping and there were always VERY aware of campground etiquette -

    - Don't walk through another's campsite
    - Don't go into another's camper without a parent's permission (This was the 70's and 80's)
    - Don't approach someone's LEASHED pet without permission
    - Cars and RV's had the right of way - get to the side of the road where you could be seen
    - Pick up your trash
    - NIght time was quiet time
    - ALWAYS RESPECT YOUR ELDERS-  if we didn't we usually got spanked by them - and then again when our parents found out…there were eyes everywhere!!!
    - and we an go on and on, but bottom line it was about RESPECT

When we camp with our families now, we often put chairs or hammocks up to block easy pathways - only to watch preteens move our stuff out of the way as they march thru….just no respect anymore…. :484grumpy11:

Gretchen needs to do the same thing Mo.
I want to be in the living room and start the fire in the fireplace, seldom do we have weather to justify a nice wood fire and tonight is a good rainy cool one.  BUT here I sit with the Quest spot tracker page on one screen and the other jumping between fortfiends, the dog sled forum, and even facebook tonight.  And I was just heading to LR when I thought, let me check FF.  LOL

I noticed nobody posted a link to the campsite pages. If you haven't seen it there's lots of stuff I found useful for our first visit last October. The drive-through videos of the campsites are great.

Another option to see The Fort if you can't get in to park would be going to the Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary and then taking the boats. The boats are also a nice way of seeing that area in a touristy way.

Sounds like the potential for a new site sponsor. Short term rentals on short kids to get swap passes.

Like you Rene and I hadn't been to Disney World since my little brother passed away in 2000. We decided to FP the Seven Dwarfs, Space Mountain and Jungle Cruise. We used our optional for a second ride on Big Thunder RR. For the remainder of the rides we went on we found the wait times really weren't  that bad ranging from immediate entry to 20 minutes or so. We even got onto Peter Pan in about 20 by waiting until later in the evening just before the parade ended. We had similar results at Epcot.

I think a lot of the wait times depend upon when you go and what you do when major events are taking place (i.e. parades, show at castle, etc). In our case we were willing to skip some of the events to maximize our times on the rides. So while the FP has skewed wait times for some of the popular rides it is still possible to get on rides in a reasonable time if do some planning around events.

    We had similar results

Based on our trip this past October I would say it was more or less a wash from the 1300 loop where we were located. It always seemed to take about 5-10 minutes before a bus would show up and another 5-10 to get to The Settlement. We walk fairly fast and would be at the docks in 15-20 minutes.

We usually resort hop in conjunction with a park visit

As said above, WL and the monorail resorts are easy.

For the "Epcot" Resorts, we'll bus to Epcot, wander Epcot a bit perhaps ride Soarin, then walk out the International Gateway of Epcot and towards Yacht & Beach, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin, then depending on what time it is and park closing time, we'll either continue our walk to Studios and take a bus back from there, or go back through Epcot (watch Illuminations), and take a bus back from there.

For the remaining resorts, we visit during lunch breaks from the parks.

Sometimes we even play "bus roulette" for a meal. Hop on the first park bus that comes along, then stay on that same bus for it's next destination. (Buses do not go in a circle, they go to a resort, then to a park, and usually go to a different resort), then after our meal and wandering the resort, we take the first park bus that comes along, then a bus back to the Fort.

Now, let me caveat that by saying, we no longer have full park days. We have Annual Passes, we usually have longer stays, and spend most of our time relaxing at the Fort, and simply "wandering" the parks for a couple hours before a meal. (Empty nesters) So we are not trying to fit resort touring into a busy park day. Resort touring may BE our day :)

I like the one your husband likes - but counter space matters to me in a camper and the islands just make me happy on the inside. Which one is your favorite? Wouldn't it be nice if you could go and design your own affordable TT? Like the kitchen design places but for campers? I'd like this length with this many slides. I want this shower and this bathroom sink. If they had a website for that, I would probably never get anything else done.

It's comments like I've seen here about how Disney makes it hard for folks to modify their stay from the resort that makes me wonder if they really want people staying there at all.
