Lou... got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in My journey to bring my family back to the Fort
They arrived, had some "giddy up and go chicken", and then came over to the GG at Bobs to meet a whole bunch of Fiends.

And did your secret source that we all know, and love, especially Dave, tell you if anyone was hurt or were put up in a cabin for the rest of their stay?

Unless we find out before then, I might get an answer on Thursday.
I'm meeting a bunch of Fiends at the Fort on Thur. afternoon and because I'm going directly from work, I have to stop at the Fort's Cast Services building to change.
If the CMs know what happened, I should be able to get a reliable answer.

Lou... got a reaction from Momof6....aka Marty in A new challenge for the "MOs" in the group
Agreed, I like it easy and slow. If I get around to a certain attraction, fine, if I don't, that's fine too.
TCD has a good reason for not doing it. He's bringing milk and cookies and is going to help me rotate my ping pong ball collection.

Select the beer and see if the lounge you want is listed.

Lou... got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Food & Wine Festival 2014
The F&WF media event was held today and guess who was one of only two hosts? Yup, moi.
Had to wear the formal costume and everything.
As the host you greet everyone that attends and give them instructions regarding the event and where to go.
All of the usual suspects attended, central Florida newspapers, Disney related websites, PJ bloggers, etc. Deb Willis of "All Ears", the "Disney Food Blog", the "Orlando Sentinel", were there plus all of the others, about 35 in total.
I was on the lookout for Kelly's boy friend, Josh of "EasyWDW" but he never showed. Maybe he had to mow his parents lawn this morning as payment for living in their garage.
The last thing I did was give out the bling bags as they left. It was like I was giving them a bag full of gold.
The event went off very smoothly and I actually found it kinda interesting.

Lou... got a reaction from Tri-Circle-D in Leaked River Country DVC Plans
I wouldn't bet the farm on most of the stuff that's reported on the Jim Hill website.
I've seen balloons at various locations throughout WDW and nothing ever appeared there.
Plus, I don't think Disney gives a crap about what the view is from the Fort otherwise they wouldn't have allowed the 4 Seasons resort to be built where it was.
Jimmy's style is to throw everything, and I mean everything, at the WDW wall. Of course some of it is bound to stick at some point. Who knows, maybe building this DVC is one of those times.

Awesome dogs.
We have a Border Collie grand dog and he's just the best.
This is Piper during a recent visit.
As like in Mo's case, he's a rescue. How and why someone gave him is beyond me.

Lou... got a reaction from Katman1356...Jason in Two questions re: parks
Glad you asked. I have the inside scoop.
They're 8 feet high, mostly plywood, hopefully exterior grade. They're painted 2 shades of puke green, and have signs about every 30 feet that I'm guessing, have that silly message about putting up an ugly wall so that you might enjoy that space in the future.
Here's some behind the scenes info about something you can't see, they're being weighed down with cement blocks.

Lou... got a reaction from mouseketab.....Carol in Rumor: Maelstrom closing - CONFIRMED
I knew it, I knew it, Ed is the one person that wasn't impressed.
I don't know about that, but at the "Frozen Summer Fun" events I've worked, that was not the case.
Yesterday morning I did the first half and tonight I did the second half of the event and no rioting kids.

Lou... got a reaction from BradyBzLyn...Mo in Calliope Rig
Just drove by the MR/RR Roundhouse and the entire rig is parked there.
However, there are actually two calliope trailers, and also having been backstage at the Fort, about 40 minutes ago, the other trailer is still there.

Love Bug is doing fine. It's still parked at the All Star Movies resort.

Bad news Marty, I think the COP will reopen while you're there.
I mean how long can it take to remove the seats and replace them with cots.

That's all she's known.
I think it's our responsibility to be humane to animals, furry and otherwise.
Wish I could take credit for it, but one of our daughters came up with it.
Yup
Not just cats. Gail has brought home, homeless kids, homeless adults, cats, dogs, and we've saved numerous turtles, opossum, armadillos, you name it. If it can be saved, we do it.
That's not the first and certainly not the last time I'll hear that.
Gail gets full credit because she's the one that insisted we save Luna, not me. I did agree though.
The last thing I wanted was another animal, but we just couldn't let her die.
She'll spend most of her time outdoors and we'll be doing what we do for Mamacat, give her food and water every day and keep an eye on her. So it's not a big deal.
