If he was actually in a smoking area, that's fine.  I'd have just moved.
 
If not, I'd have been quite annoyed and probably would have had a "coughing" fit to see if that got any reaction.

I agree that the media certainly feels the need to state that the people were Disney employees.  What they did was dispicable and they should be punished - just like all the other perps in all the other jobs in this country.

As a christian and a teacher I sadly have to point out that the jobs with the highest percentage of sexual predators are most likely priests/ministers and teachers/coaches.  I applaud the systems put into place to deter their hiring (like background checks, fingerprinting, etc.) and swift removal when said perverts are discovered.  Just like Disney did.

Can you give me a link to that headline?
 
 
 It's been 6 years since I had to do it, but unless it's changed, they take fingerprints, drug test, and do a background check on new hires.
 
 
I think people should be more concerned about other people in the park rather than the average frontline CM who does not have the opportunity to be alone with the child.

I just LOVE coming back to the Fort to the sounds of the EWP.  It's one of the magical things about the Fort that cannot be replicated anywhere else on earth. 

Part of the problem is Common courtesy is no longer very common.  If they were my kids they wouldn't be on your site at all.  They would walk to the other by by using the road.  Count me as part of the cranky crowd.

I passed a guy one day and he started yelling and pointing to the double yellow. When we got to the 4 way I waited for him, got out walked back and "Said read the cart rules, I'm allowed to pass and your supposed to pull over". Got back in the truck and left.<br />

I have a copy of the published GC rules in my car, and if I come across that same idiot, I'll show them to him.

If you're one of the many knuckleheads that think you own the roads at the Fort while you're looping around in your kiddy cart, read the official published policy below.

Carts must yield to larger vehicles.
Keep to the right on roadways to allow larger vehicles to pass"
 
That means that if I'm behind you while you're going 10mph, pull over and let me by, that's the rule. And don't give me any lip or evil eye when I do pass you anyway. I don't care, you're wrong.

Even though we live in Clermont, my wife and I took our camper there for a nice weekend.  Given the $24 a night charge, and the proximity to Disney, I figured I'd post some pictures:
 
Here is the camp site itself.  The site we had was near the bath house, and had water and electric.  The bath houses were surprisingly nice and the showers large. There are several full hook up sites and the dump station is very nice and easy to use.

 
 
It is a decent size campground with 60 sites.

 
 
We hiked about 8 miles, and only hit less than half of the trails.  Here are some pictures:

 

 

 

 

 
There are two lakes near the campground.  Both have nice boardwalks leading out into the lakes.
 

 

 

 

 
 
The park is a great place to stay, whether you are from the area or coming a distance.  If you have a gap to fill before or after a stay at Fort Wilderness, this is nearby and well worth the $24.
 
 

My little girl liked the movies too when she was12, she's 45 now.
They were great movies, but 25 years is way too long for that type of attraction to hang around unchanged.
But that goes for a ton of attractions at WDW.

My daughter was in the standby line to see Mark Hamill today (she thought from a distance).  He came out to visit the people in line.  She got to meet him and said he was extremely nice.  Here is a picture:
 

And Disney's people have already been working with him.  He looks a heck of a lot better than he did before.  He is as pale as the Emperor in this pic.  
 

The only cure is to start planning your next trip! Also reminisce on your way home about all the little things that made your trip magical and write them down. You'll always remember the big highlights but sometimes the little things get lost in the fog.

I have also run into a bad 30 amp but a good 50. Glad I had an adapter in the camper.

We have Verizon and get good service at the Fort with our phones and hot spot. We've never gotten one of their modems. Since we have the hot spot for Jason's job, we really don't need to.

Love your comment about Jesus and the nativity... I too wish it was more prominent, but am thankful that at least it was still there.

I held back on that one. I tend to keep my feelings inside.

Once I park at the Fort, my vehicle does not start again until I have to go home.

Oh and by the way this was a wonderful trip report with lots of info for all the Fiends with little Disney princesses to prepare their future weddings and Dad's start saving up because it's going to cost you but remember they are ALL worth it no matter the cost, ( Boy am I glad we had boys!!!!) :rofl2:  :rofl2:
